Anti-Leprosy Day observed in Mkg
Mokokchung, February 1 (MExN): Mokokchung observed Anti-Leprosy Day on January 30 at IDSP hall, Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital here. Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Kibang, Deputy CMO said leprosy may be infectious, but it is curable if detected and treated earlier. Leprosy as a disease has been scientifically and medically proven curable with Multi Drug Therapy. Therefore, reducing the burden of leprosy is possible by detecting cases at an early stage of the infection and administering prompt treatment, he added. He also urged the gatherers to show affection to the infected people. At the outset of the function, cash incentives were presented to two Leprosy infected persons, namely Meyikala and Vijay Prasad. Meyikala also shared testimony.. Officers from the health department, nursing students and leprosy staffs attended the programme. Maongrenla chaired the programme and C. Peter pronounced vote of thanks.
KNO general session
Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): Kyong Nchumchio Okho (KNO) has convened its general session on February 14, 2:00 pm at the resident of KNO Vice President Yanbemo Humtsoe at Lotha Colony here. The session shall comprise of yearly review reports and annual plan. Therefore, all the members of KNO have been requested to attend the meeting with various agendas / projects to be deliberated. Meanwhile, the Executive councils and the assigned individuals concerned have been requested to bring their reports and related information for review and deliberation. The members have also been notified that screening and validation of its members will be re-scrutinized to authenticate its membership. Therefore, all the members have been asked to attend positively, failing which disciplinary action shall be initiated against those members, KNO cautioned in a press release.
NSWON 11th General Assembly
Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): The National Socialist Women’s Organisation of Nagalim (NSWON) is conducting 11th general assembly on February 6 from 9:00 am at Council Headquarters, Hebron.
