CAN Youth sales day today Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): CAN Youth (NGO) is organizing a sales day on July 20 (Wednesday) at Super market for fund rise in aid of Youth Retreat Programme to be held from July 28 to 30 and for Project Care & Hope under CAN Youth. Care & Hope is a home based care support project for children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and affected by Drug abuse and alcoholic families from downtrodden background. Presently CAN Youth is supporting 25 Children through community mobilization resources. It Request the citizens of Dimapur to buy food items from the stall of CAN Youth so that the money goes towards the charity for welfare.   Enumerators of NPR informed Kohima, July 19 (DIPR): Sub-Divisional Officer (C) Sadar and Charge Officer Kohima Sadar, Kethosituo Sekhose has informed all the Enumerators of National Population Register (NPR) 2015 under Kohima Sadar Administrative Circle (KMC Areas/Kohima town and Kohima/Chedema/Chedema Model village) to personally collect their honorarium from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima during office hours between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.   Hazi Park cleanliness drive continues Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): As a follow up to the cleanliness drive under taken on June 26, the Hazi Park Businessmen Welfare Committee with the support and help of the Zonal Malaria office and its sprayed DDT powder in the market area today. HPBWC President Hukato V Achumi in a press release acknowledged Assistant Director, Urban Malaria Department, Dimapur and his staff for the noble service rendered. The HPBWC has appealed to all concerned to extend support and guidance to the committee for the service of the general public. The Committee also appeals to all government agencies to help HPBWC keep the market in the best of condition.   Landslide cleared at Alahuto colony Zunheboto, July 19 (DIPR): Landslide affected areas at Alahuto colony, Zunheboto was cleared on July 8. The landslide which blocked the road leading to the colony since couple of week long has been causing inconvenience to the commuters. Meanwhile, the GBs and Ward Council has thanked PWD Mechanical Department for providing JCB and Dumper. MO, Mechanical, Abeto Achumi supervised the affected area.   N.I. Jamir Academic Excellence award programme on July 23 at Molu Ki, Kohima at 11:00 AM. The occasion will felicitate the toppers (Top 20) of the Ao students in HSLC examination 2016.   Power Department Mkg appeals Mokokchung, July 19 (DIPR): In continuation to the earlier press release by the Office of E.E Electrical Mokokchung Division, once again all consumers have been informed that the normal power supply in Mokokchung town and its adjoining areas has been affected following the breakdown of a 5MVA transformer at the 33 KV RESS Mokokchung. The Department is making all-out effort to restore/replace from the central store Dimapur at the earliest. In the meantime roster for supply of electricity in a group-wise manner has been formulated. In this regard the Department has once again fervently requested all affected consumers to bear the inconvenience with the department.   Early completion of railway project in Nagaland stressed Kohima, July 19 (MExN): The 92nd meeting of Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) was held at Guwahati recently. Three nominees from Nagaland- S.T. Sangtam, R. Sopu Angami and H.K. Khulu along with Nagaland government representatives attended the said meeting. S.T.Sangtam stressed on the construction of sheds in Dimapur Railway Station Platform No.2 and 3 and also on the widening of Platform No. 2 and 3. Sopu focused on the implementation and early completion of railway project in Nagaland while also underlining various projects and their present status. Khulu stressed on the railway line construction from Dimapur to Tizit (Mon district) and also the railway line connecting Dimapur to Kohima.
