KCSU union assembly on Aug 27
KOHIMA, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) has informed that the union will have its 1st Union Assembly for the tenure 2016-17 on August 27 at Capital College of Higher Education at 12 noon. Therefore, all the units have requested to attend the said assembly positively.
Math & Science teachers deployed to GHS Sakshi
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The Sakshi Students Union today acknowledged the School Education Department for re deploying math and science teachers as per the demands of the union. A press note from the SSU however expressed apprehension regarding implementation of the order especially “going by the experience of the past where such orders have not materialised.” Therefore, the SSU appealed all the teaching and non teaching staff, including the two new appointees to be present in the school campus on August 30 at 8:00am after which the SSU stated it will decide whether to call off the agitation. “This time the SSU is dead serious to rebuild the GHS Sakshi which has been neglected for the last 25 years,” it stated.
Higher Edu Dept informs
KOHIMA, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The Department of Higher Education has notified all Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for ST Student’s beneficiaries and Institutions that the Ministry has extended the date online form fill up till September 30, 2016. A notification from the department informed that under this scheme, students should go by the given website and compulsorily register and find out their user ID and password and apply to log in. It further stated that supporting documents for Scholarship amounting to less than Rs 50,000 should be kept at institution level and for scholarship amount more than Rs.50,000 may be uploaded on the portal. SDEO Longleng notifies
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The SDEO Longleng has informed all GTs under the former’s establishment to submit photo copies of B.Ed marksheet and pass certificate along with appointment order for immediate verification within August 27 to the undersigned office. A press note from the SDEO informed that late comers will have to submit the documents personally to the directorate office. It further informed all GMS/GPS under the SDEO Longleng that teachers day tokens and car flags can be collected from the SDEO office hours from August 24.
TSUK freshers day on August 27
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The Thenyizumi Students Union, Kohima (TSUK) will be organising its 21st General Session-cum- Freshers Social 2016 under the theme ‘Learning to be Employable’ on August 27 at the LCS building, Midland in Kohima from 10:00am onwards. Thepusa Nakro, SDAO, Chozuba, Department of Agriculture, will grace the occasion as the guest speaker. The union has invited all the people of Thenyizumi residing in and around Kohima to attend the session.
