Two discharged from NSCN (IM) Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): The Chakhesang Region of the NSCN (IM) has in a notification to all concerned informed of the discharge of Khuchopra, Leacy, and Thepuswuyi, Razou Peyu, from national service on “account of anti-social activities”. The CAO, Chakhesang Region informing this in a press release further issued a “stern caution” to one Beduta who, although “discharged from national service in 2015”, was posing as an NSCN cadre and indulging in “anti-national activities”. In this connection, the CAO has warned that the Chakhesang Region should not be held responsible for any action. One held under NLTP Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): Excise Mobile Squad personnel manning the Chumukedima Excise Check Gate seized 30 cases of IMFL on August 26 from the possession of one Rajen Sony, a resident of Eros Lane, Dimapur. The accused has been booked under relevant section of the NLTP Act and the seized articles kept in the Excise Malkhana (Mobile Squad), Dimapur, a press release from the Superintendent of Excise, Dimapur informed. ANSTGA quarterly meeting held Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): The quarterly meeting of the All Nagaland Small Tea Growers Association was held on August 26 at its head office in Highridge, Darogapathar, Dimapur wherein a new team of office bearers were elected. Health awareness programme held Jalukie, August 27 (MExN): Lamhai Village Health Committee, Jalukie Block conducted an awareness programme on "Causes and prevention of common diseases faced by the villagers" at Lamhai Council Hall, funded by Nagaland Health Project (NHP) of Department of Health & Family Welfare on August 22. Dr. Martha, MO of Dungki PHC, was the resource person. She stressed on the importance of keeping oneself and the surrounding clean to prevent occurrence of common diseases. A total of 64 people attended the programme.
