
ARK Foundation meeting held Kohima, September 15 (MExN): The executive board meeting of ARK Foundation was held on September 9 at the Foundation’s office in Kezieke. President, Ketho Angami chaired the meeting and the treasurer submitted his internal audit. The meeting also discussed to continue to work on drugs and HIV/AIDS awareness programs, according to a press release from Ketho Angami. BYWC celebrates 29th anniversary Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre (BYWC) celebrated its 29th anniversary on September 1 at its head office with a thanksgiving programme. The Executive Director, WC Humtsoe thanked God for His mighty guidance throughout the years and also encouraged the staff to continue to work hard despite the various challenges faced by them. Free animal health camp held Medziphema, September 15 (MExN): A free animal health camp was organized by the Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry (Mobile Veterinary Clinic) at Medziphema village on August 23 and 24. The camp was conducted by doctors and staff from Dimapur and Kohima led by Dr. Imomanen Tzudir, DLDO Dimapur. Vaccination for rabies (dogs), FMD (Cattle & buffaloes), swine fever (Pigs) were done besides treatment and distribution of medicines for the livestock and poultry free of cost. KCSU general session cum fresher social Kohima, September 15 (MExN): The Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) will be organizing 55th general session cum fresher social on September 224 at Angami Public Organisation (APO) Conference Hall at 10:00 am. G Kaito Aye and Dr. Kewepfuzu Lohe have consented as chief guest and session speaker respectively. Students of class 11 and above are mandatory to attend the session with one Traditional Attire. Unity College organizes teaching-learning workshop Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): Department of Commerce, Unity College Dimapur organised one day workshop on Teaching-Learning at M.Com level on September 10 with Dr. N. Martina Solo, Head, Department of Commerce, Nagaland University as the resource person. The workshop highlighted the teaching-learning methodologies at the Post Graduate level, informed a press release. The participants were also apprised about the introduction of new syllabus, examination/assessment pattern, and other activities. The resource person interacted with the all the participants and also exhorted the students to be prepared to face the competition. The workshop was attended by the faculty of Commerce Department and M.Com students of Unity College. Unity College is the only college among the private colleges to offer Post Graduate course in Commerce affiliated under Nagaland University. Youth Voters’ Fest in Peren concludes Peren, September 15 (DIPR): As part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign, the second Youth Voters’ Festival concluded in Peren on September 9. The students of All Saint Higher Secondary School, Government Higher Secondary School, and Peren Government College Peren were familiarised on the electoral process on September 6, 7 and 9 respectively. The students also interacted with ERO & ADC, S Tainiu regarding Youth Voters’ Festival. Essay competitions were held across the district on the topic: Multiple registrations as a voter and furnishing wrong particulars is illegal, unethical and immoral. AEO Nathan Konyak briefed the participating students on the electoral processes during the festival.
