Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): The Commendation Certificates will be given to the personnel of Forest Protection Force and officers involved in the protection and safe passage of Amur Falcons from the State last year (2013) in appreciation of their efforts by ML Rao, principal chief conservator of forest & head of forest force on January 20, 10:45 am at Conference Hall, Forest Office Complex, Dimapur. Chief Wildlife Warden, T Lotha in a press release has requested all the Dimapur based forest officers and executives including ministerial staffs to attend the function without fail as directed by the PCCF Kohima.
Community hall of Penli ward inaugurated
Mokokchung, January 16 (DIPR): Chief Secretary, Nagaland Alemtemshi Jamir IAS on January 15 inaugurated the newly constructed community hall of Penli ward Mokokchung. Speaking on the occasion, Alemtemshi said that the community hall is an asset for the ward and the hall is for all purposes. The Chief Secretary also mentioned that for community development, self sacrifice and voluntary service is important. He urged the people to understand the strength within them and to give their best in contributing their efforts in developing our land saying that government will help only those who help themselves. Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Muroho Chotso, Takomeren of Penli ward and all Ward Chairman, Watimongba also delivered short speeches.
e-Governance in Agriculture training rescheduled

Phek, January 16 (MExN): District Health Society Phek will be conducting the 1st Round of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) on January 19 and 2nd Round of IPPI on February 23. Neposo Theluo Deputy Commissioner Phek will administer the first Polio drops. Phek Media Officer, Kutolu Nakro stated in a press release that Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru Chief Medical Officer Phek request all the parents to bring their children who are five years of age and below for polio drops at their respective colony/ village polio booth.
JD (United) Nagaland meeting
Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): The central executive meeting of Janata dal (United) Nagaland State Unit will be held on January 18 at 1:00 pm at the main officer, near Belho Nursing Home, Walford Colony, Dimapur. Mokokchung, January 16 (DIPR): DC Mokokchung, Muroho Chotso has informed that Longjongkong village under the administrative jurisdiction of EAC Ongpangkong Circle, Mokokchung District is applying for recognition under the state govt. of Nagaland. In this regard, objection, if any, regarding the recognition of the said village may be submitted within 30 (thirty) days from the date of issue this notification to this office otherwise the matter shall be forwarded to the Government for recognition and registration under the laid down procedure. Boundaries of Longjongkong village is: North- Ongdang Hill/Tsuset River; South- Tsujemyong River; East- Amomi Hill; West - Tsuet River.
Zunheboto DPDB meeting held
Zunheboto, January 16 (DIPR): Zunheboto DPDB meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall on January 16. Deputy Commissioner, L. Akato Sema NCS, who chaired the meeting, extended New Year greetings to all the members and thanked DPO & Secretary DPDB, Sukhamo who would be retiring from the service this month, for his dedication and sincere service rendered towards the Zunheboto district. In the meeting, DPO & Secretary DPDB also took time, expressed his profound gratitude to all the past and present members of the Board, and highlighted some of the projects and works initiated under his tenure. Highlights of the meeting included work distribution for the upcoming Republic day celebration, road safety week to be observed from January 17 to 23, and construction of dustbin at public local ground, which was being referred to next meeting and observance of National voter’s day on January 25. All HoDs and schools under Zunheboto attended the meeting.

Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): CBCC Executive Secretary, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo has made an appeal to all the Chakhesang wherever they are to commit themselves to Pray on January 19 (Sunday) 2014 as individuals and families remembering what the Lord Jesus said, “… apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5b ). All the Pastors of Churches under CBCC are requested to select relevant topic on prayer to preach on this day and spend enough time to pray together with the congregation. They are requested to pray fervently following the prayer points distributed by mail that covers thanksgiving prayer for what the Lord has done in the year past and pray for peace in our land, for our leaders, students, widows and widowers, orphans state political leaders, national workers, administrators, police, prisons, and many others. “Let every family begin the year with prayer that will lead to bring Revival in our families, churches and land,” the appeal note added.
