
ZB condoles leader’s death
DIMAPUR, February 7 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Baudi (ZB) has condoled the demise of Pou Ijirangbe Zeme, eminent leader of the Zeliangrong Nagas. A condolence message from Gainithoi Gonmei, Information & Publicity Secretary, ZB (AMN), informed that Zeme passed away on February 4 at Guwahati Hospital after a brief illness.
Further, the message informed that Zeme was P.A. to Rani Gaidinliu - the veteran freedom fighter, Executive Member of N.C. Hills Autonomous Council in 1980s, General Secretary of All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (1965-67), Zeliangrong People Convention (ZPC) leader in 1980s, and social worker in Assam till his last breath. Born on April 25, 1944, to Hailung Zeme, he was survived by wife Jeno Zeme, and children. In his death, the Zeliangrong people and the ZB have lost one illustrious leader, the message stated.
SDEO Peren informs

Peren, February 7 (MExN): All the primary teachers under SDEO Peren, who were appointed w.e.f September 2001 and are not professionally trained, are informed to personally come to the SDEO office along with original appointment order and its photo copy, two passport size photos (colour) on February 12. SDEO Peren in a press release has stated that the invitation is specifically for regular teachers (excluding adhoc and contract appointees).
Zunheboto DPDB meet postponed
Zunheboto, February 7 (MExN): The monthly meeting of Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) scheduled to be held on February 8 has been postponed to February 11. Time and venue will remain the same. Therefore, deputy commissioner & vice chairman DPDB, Zunheboto, L Akato Sema, has requested all the members to note the change of date and attend the meeting positively.

Peren, February 7 (MExN): All the heads of departments under Peren district have been reminded to submit the staff incumbency list for forthcoming parliamentary election. SDO(c) Peren, Albert Ezung in a press release informed all concerned to submit the same with complete details as per the prescribed format/proforma enclosed earlier vide t/o ltr even No.932,dt 14/1/14 by February 10 without fail. Any failure on the part of officers concerned (HoD) will be held responsible, the release stated.
Preliminary meeting

Kohima, February 7 (DIPR): A preliminary meeting on Capacity Building Programme on various Topics of Civil Defence & Disaster Management of all the KMC ward Chairman will be held at the Office Chamber of the District Commandant (HGs), Upper Chandmari on February 10 at 11:00 a.m. All the Ward Chairmen have been requested to attend this meeting without fail. This was notified by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Asangla Imti.
WSTH condemns assault of pastor
Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The Western Sumi Totimi Hoho (WSTH) has condemned the alleged assault of a pastor and his sister-in-law by five youth on February 4 at his residence in Dimapur. In a statement, WSTH president, Ahimsa K. Zhimo and general secretary, Jolly K. Aomi stated that Naga society is worsening day by day that even a pastor is not spared in a land where Christianity is majority. “It is high time that the society as a whole should move against all forms of anti-socials that are taking place every single day.” Acknowledging the administration and police for arresting the culprits, WSTH urged the authorities concerned to take stern action as per the law.

Kohima, February 7 (MExN): A farewell programme of the outgoing Superintendent of Police Kohima, Additional Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) will take place on February 8 at 5:00 PM at Officers Mess Phesama. Speeches will be delivered by outgoing SP Rothihu Tetseo, outgoing Addl. SP M. Rhovisie and Dy. SP (T) Melite Kapfo. Further, speeches will also be delivered by Shouka Kakheto, SDPO Kohima and district administration. The function will be chaired by Dr. Tiamenla Phom, Deputy SP (E) while vote of thanks will be proposed by Israel Xuivi, Deputy SP (R).
Angami Sekrenyi 2014
Kohima, February 7 (MExN): The Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) in commemoration of the 50th years of statehood, will be hosting the Angami Sekrenyi 2014 at the Naga Heritage Village Kisama on February 25. The Organization has invited all members of the community to join the celebration of the biggest festival of the community. Her Royal Highness, the Princes of Thailand will grace the festival as a special guest. Hectic preparations have already started, according to SAPO press secretary Khrievisa Chale.
ANEFWA emergency meeting
Kohima, February 7 (MExN): The All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has called an emergency executive meeting February 14 at its HQ Kohima. The Association has requested all its zonal president and general secretary to attend the meeting without fail. The meeting will discuss the important agenda of playing delay tactics by concerned department in the preparation/procession for the payment of time bound scale arrear for both the work-charge and regularized period and to chalk out further necessary action.
