Receptions prog for BWA president
Kohima, February 11 (MExN): A receptions programme was held on February 10 at Nagaland Baptist Council of Churches, New capital Complex Kohima to welcome the Rev. Dr. John Upton, President, Baptist World Alliance (BWA) and Moderators from the Church of Christ Thailand (CCT). The event was organized by the Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship and attended by fifty churches. “We must learn from one another through this partnership,” said Rev. Dr. Boonratna Boayen, moderator CCT, who hoped that Nagas and Thais would build better relationship through evangelism, education, medical ministry and social development. “Any leader has to begin with some big refusals,” said Rev. Dr. John while speaking on leadership and encouraged the congregation to engage the world around them. The service was chaired by Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, President, KBPF. Prayers were invoked by Rev. C Lima Sangtam President NBCC and Rev. Asangba Longkumer, Pastor Ao Baptist Church while songs were presented by Chakhesang Baptist Church, Peraciezie Baptist Church, Sangtam Baptist Church and Union Baptist Church.
Chilivai Baptist women seminar
Kohima, February 11 (MExN): Chilivai Baptist women seminar under PNBA will be held from March 21-23 at Laii Baptist Church with the theme “Homes are made by the wisdom of women”. Ng. David Sha, pastor, Poumai Baptist Fellowship Naga United Dimapur would be the resource person and Rev. R.L. Simon, pastor, MBC Imphal would be the speaker.

Kohima, February 11 (MExN): The organizing committee of Phewhuo Whuorie clans of T. Khel, Kohima Village has requested all its members to attend the Sekrenyi feast cum get together at Whuorie Nuomia Dahou, T. Khel Kohima Village on March 1 at 12:30 PM. In a release, organizing committee secretary Boulie Whuorie also extended special invitation on behalf of the clans to the married sisters to come with the family members positively.
