
Village Health Committee members asked to be active
Wokha, February 13 (DIPR): Training and capacity building for village health committee members under Wokha district was held on February 11 at LTC Hall, Wokha, with Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Vyasan R. as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest said, the government with a view to reach out to the community has introduced communitisation involving the people to give quality service in various sectors. He appealed to the village health committee members to be active and take the responsibility of putting efforts in areas where change is required.
Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr. C.W. Tungoe, while giving the keynote address said, communitisation is a process of the government and the community getting into partnership, working together and sharing responsibilities in the management of Public Institutions and services in order to make them function optimally and deliver quality services for the overall growth and development and society.
54 A/C NPF hold meeting
TUENSANG, FEBRUARY 13 (MExN): The Naga Peoples Front (NPF) 54 A/C Tuensang Sadar II conducted a co-ordination meeting at the residence of Parliamentary Secretary, Kejong Chang on February 11 and discussed various issues relating to the party’s smooth functioning. A press note from B Ramchi Chang, President of the NPF 54 A/C Tuensang Sadar II informed that the meeting was attended by area party leaders, including all frontal organizations, advisors and veteran leaders. The house resolved to strongly adhere to party norms under the leadership of Parliamentary Secretary, Kejong Chang and Chief Minister, Neiphio Rio and to work in support of a DAN consensus candidate for the forth coming Lok Sabha election 2014. In order to facilitate the smooth functioning of the party, it was further agreed upon that party functionaries of the area would have to compulsorily attend the office during working days, unless they provide valid reasons for their absence.
