Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): Chief Secretary, GPRN/NSCN, Khekiho Chophy has informed all the head of departments and ministries that, there will be a Secretariat staff meeting on February 22, 2014, 10:00 am at Designated Camp, Khehoi. All the Secretariat staff have been asked to attend the said meeting without fail.

Intensive mass social work on Feb 21

Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): In view of the visit of Princess of Thailand to Nagaland, there will be an “intensive mass social work” on February 21 starting 7:00 am from Purana Bazaar to Piphema village along National Highway 29. In this connection, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, N Hushili Sema has informed all the council chairmen of villages along National Highway 29 to take necessary initiative in their respective jurisdiction. A fine of Rs. 50,000 will be levied on the defaulting village councils, cautioned the DC in a press release.  

NWHD requests to
participate in sanitation rally


Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) is organizing a rally on 'sanitation program' sponsored by PHED on February 21 at 8:00 am starting from Delux Point to City Tower. Therefore, NWHD president Hukheli T Wotsa has requested all the GBs from every colony, members of Naga Council and DNSU, and all citizens of Dimapur to join the rally positively. NWHD further requested the authority concerned to submit the forensic report of July 4 murder in Dimapur at the earliest.

Phewhuo Whuorie
clans’ Sekrenyi feast


Kohima, February 19 (MExN): The organizing committee of Phewhuo Whuorie clans of T. Khel Kohima village has requested all its members to attend the Sekrenyi feast cum get together on March 1 at 12:30 pm at Whuorie Nuomia Dahou, T. Khel Kohima village. In a release, organizing committee secretary Boulie Whuorie also extended special invitation on behalf of the clans to married sisters to come with the family members positively.

PTPF fellowship with HODs

Pfutsero, February 19 (MExN): Pfütsero Town Pastors’ Fellowship (PTPF) had a combined fellowship with the heads of departments of government establishments of Pfütsero Town at ADC conference hall, Pfütsero on February 19, 2014. The first of its kind gathering in the town was initiated by the Pastors’ Fellowship with the objective to create a platform to build relationship and to uphold each other spiritually. The fellowship was attended by government officers, CBCC staff, Pfütsero Town Council Action Committee members, senior citizens and pastors of all churches irrespective of denominations. The programme was led by Dr. T. Kapfo and exhorted by SDO (Civil) Lovitoli Sema, Rev. Dr. N. Chiero and PTC Action Committee Convener Zhonelü Tünyi. The PTPF in a press release has expressed appreciation to all those who had supported the programme in their various capacities.

AR builds water tank for villagers

Mon, February 19 (MExN): 33 Assam Rifles has constructed a five thousand litres water storage tank at Sheanghah Chingnyu village in Mon located near Indo-Myanmar border. A press release from Assam Rifles expressed that the tank, constructed as part of Civic Action Programme will facilitate availability of sufficient water throughout the year in the water scarce village. The project was inaugurated and handed over to the villagers on February 13, 2014 in the presence of officials of civil administration, NGOs and village authorities.
