
Meeting of Chakhesang residing in Kohima today
Kohima, February 22 (MExN): The Chakhesang Hoho Kohima informed all concerned that a meeting of the Chakhesang residing in Kohima is convened on February 23 at Jubilee Hall Chakhesang Baptist Church Kitsubozou right after the Sunday service. All the Chakhesang village unions Kohima, have been requested to send two representatives to the meeting. Further, Chakhesang Public Organisation, Chakhesang Student’s Union, Chakhesang Youth Front, Chakhesang Students Union Kohima, Chakhesang Service Association officials have been requested to attend the meeting. In addition all the different church denominations have been requested to send two representatives to attend the meeting. It is also informed that all the Chakhesang Gazetted Officers and concerned citizens to attend the meeting without fail.
ANTA Dimapur unit informs
Dimapur, February 22 (MExN): All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Dimapur unit has directed all the taxi owners and drivers to avail yearly renewal registration and drivers’ identity card for the year 2014 on or before March 31. A press release from the Association general secretary Ahoshe Chophi and president Tohozhe Awomi cautioned that stern action will be taken against defaulters. ANTA Dimapur also requested all the registered taxis to be vigilant. It warned that any taxi found transporting alcohol, drugs, and indulging in criminal activities will be terminated from the Association. Further, for drivers driving under the influence of alcohol, their ID cards will be confiscated on the spot and expelled from ANTA membership.
Cultural competition 2014
Kohima, February 22 (MExN): A cultural competition in commemoration of Sekrenyi festival will take place on February 27 at Kohima Village Ground Ziekezou under the aegis of Music Task Force (MTF) and organized by Dolphin Club, Kohima. The programme will start from 10:00 AM onwards. Kohima village head GB Neivose Dzüvichü will pronounce elder’s blessing. Cultural songs, war cry and indigenous games will mark the event. Rs. 1.35 lakh is set as the prize money.
Digitized map of new capital complex
Kohima, February 22 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, W. Honje Konyak has informed that the digitized map of the New Capital Complex (New Civil Secretariat area) of Kohima has been prepared and notified and displayed in the office of the Deputy Commissioner's Office Kohima for public information. The map has indication of both government acquired areas and private land. Therefore, the concerned individuals, general public and the land owners of the un-acquired areas, etc have been requested to inspect/verify the map and submit claims and objections if there is any within 1 (one) month from the date of the publication of this notice, after which no further complaints/ objections whatsoever will be entertained and the map will be taken as final.
DSO Wokha informs
Wokha, February 22 (MExN): Directorate of Economics & Statistics will be imparting training to Notifiers, ASHAs and Anganwati workers on Civil Registration System on March 3, 2014 at LTC Hall, Wokha Town. In this connection, District Statistical Officer (DSO), Wokha has requested all concerned to attend the training without fail.
Essay competition in Dimapur
Kohima, February 22 (MExN): In observance of National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness week from February 20-25, PHED Rural division Dimapur is organizing an essay competition on February 25 at Little Star School auditorium, 1:00 pm for Class 8 to 10 school students in and around Dimapur. Essay topic is “Water, sanitation and their impact on human health”. Prize money will be Rs.5000/-, Rs. 3000/-, and Rs.2000/- for first, second and third winners respectively.
Excise conduct raids
Dimapur, February 22 (MExN): On February 20, Excise Mobile Squad raided liquor joints and shop at Court area and Supply directorate area in Dimapur and six (6) persons were arrested and charged under relevant section of NLTP Act ’89. The seized articles are kept in MS Malkhana for future destruction. The raids teams were led by KakihoYeptho and HevitoZhimomi both Inspectors.
