CHILDLINE toll free number affected by construction work

Alternative numbers provided  

Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): All concerned are informed that BSNL landline connectivity in some areas in Dimapur has been damaged during the ongoing repairing of roads and drainage in parts of Dimapur. Consequently, 1098 toll free number under BSNL used for CHILDLINE Dimapur has also been affected. The concerned authority has conveyed that connectivity for 1098 can be restored only after the repair works are over and which, may take about 2 months or more. In the light of the said circumstance, CHILDLINE Dimapur will be using this two phone numbers, 03862-280884 BSNL WLL (from 9:00am-4:00pm) and 8732007052 (24 x 7) till the toll free number of 1098 is restored. Festival of Peace and Harmony on Feb 12

Dimapur, February 10 (MExN):
The department of Art and Culture, Nagaland, Kohima in collaboration with NEZCC, Dimapur, is organizing Cultural Programme “Festival of Peace and Harmony” (Border Area Program) at Longwa Village, Mon on February 12 at 10:00 am. Cultural artiste from Nagaland, North East States and Myanmar side will be participating in the one-1cultural programme to foster peace and harmony. Vevo Director, Art and Culture Kohima in a press release said that Tonyei, Chief Angh of Longwa village will be the chief guest for the state programme.

Training on TFC for Rural Local Bodies held

Mokokchung, February 10 (DIPR):
Organized by Mokokchung District Administration, training on Thirteenth Finance Commission Award for Rural Local Bodies was held on February 10 at Town Hall Mokokchung. During the training, SDO (C) Sardar, Theodore Yanthan presented papers on various objectives, types of grants under Thirteenth Finance Commission (TFC) for Rural Local Bodies, features of TFC guidelines, selection of schemes and annual report. The training was attended by village council members of 70 villages under the district.

WSBAK supports ‘Sümi Prayer and Fasting Day’

Dimapur, February 10 (MExN):
The Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) strongly stands with the Sümi Hoho’s resolution made on January 7, 2014, where February 12, 2014 is declared as Sümi Prayer and Fasting Day. Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu, Executive Secretary of WSBAK in solidarity with the Sümi Hoho has requested all the Churches under WSBAK to observe the day in conducting Prayer and Fasting for the Sümi’s in their own Church.                         

DDLSA inaugurates Legal Aid Centre

Dimapur, February 10 (MExN):
Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) inaugurated Legal Aid Centre with Gregory Thejawelie, ADC, Medziphema as chief guest. He lauded the legal services initiative and stressed on benefits it brings to the villagers in drafting and other legal requirements. Veprasa Nyekha, Secretary DDLSA & District & Sessions Judge Dimapur delivered the keynote address. Seyielenuo  Mezhii, Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Dimapur spoke on Village Council Act. Pelelhousie Meru,Chairman Sochunoma gave the welcome address. Also DDLSA Panel Advocates Imliakum, Yogendra Gupta, Duvelo  Vero, Limasenla Longkumer, Sentimenla, Esther  K Aye spoke  on  various Legal  Rights relating to  Para Legal Volunteers, Rights of Arrested Person, RTI, Juvenile Justice Act, Domestic Violence Act and Legal Services Authority Act followed by interaction.  Village council members, women leaders, students, SGHs and villagers from nearby villagers, attended seminar.
