Auto fares revised, drivers

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): Auto rickshaw fares in and around Dimapur have been revised. Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, Regional Transport Authority, Dimapur, N Hushili Sema has in an order directed the auto rickshaw drivers to display a copy of the revised fare chart in their vehicles for public convenience. For school students in uniform, there will be a concession of 15% and for physically challenged persons, there will be a concession of 25% from the actual fare. Non-compliance of the order will be strictly dealt with as per the provisions of law, stated the order, a copy of which was released to the media. The revised fare will come into force with immediate effect.
NPYC meeting in Kohima
Kohima, March 3 (MExN): All the office bearers of Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) and the president of District Youth Congress have been informed that there will be a meeting on March 5, 11:00 am at Congress Bhavan, Kohima. Therefore, general secretary (Admin) of NPYC, Yanchamo (Lima) has requested all concerned to attend the meeting without fail.

Kohima, March 3 (MExN): All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers’ Association (ANPSTA), Kohima Unit has informed all its members that a general meeting will be held on March 6, 10:00 am at NSF conference hall. All members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail as some important matters are going to be discussed. The unit general secretary, Ajabu Sorhie and information secretary, Lucy Kent in a press release informed that an amount of Rs 450/- will be collected from each member.
SAYO cautions against hunting
in its jurisdiction
Kohima, March 3 (MExN): Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) has stated that as per the directive of Angami Youth Organization (AYO) on prohibition of hunting, the season/ period for hunting is over from the month of February. A press release appended by SAYO general secretary, Neiba Bio and Action Committee convenor, Khisanol Viswentso reiterated SAYO’s stand and requested the public to restrain from all sorts of hunting and burning of jungles within the jurisdiction of Southern Angami areas, failing which, it cautioned, defaulters will be penalized accordingly as resolved in the house.

Wokha, March 3 (MExN): In support to the issue raised by Action Committee Against Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) Nagaland against illegal taxation, Superintendent of Wokha, Limasunep Jamir, has informed that sign boards stating “No money to be paid at Police Check Gate” has been displayed at Police Check Gate. The SP in a press statement has directed the public to abide by the stricture.
