
Postal employees’ strike on Feb 12 & 13
Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): All India Postal Employees Union (AIPEU), Nagaland Division has decided to participate in the two days nationwide strike in support of the 15 points charter of demand called by the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers on February 12 & 13, 2014. Stating this in a press release, AIPEU president, Kekhrieletso Kelio and divisional secretary, Daniel Domeh informed that there will be no public transactions in any of the post offices under Nagaland Division during the strike period. AIPEU has requested all public and well wishers to bear with the striking employees and extend moral support towards the cause taken up by the union.
Assorted IMFL seized
Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): The Excise duty party of Peren and Jalukie, led by Deputy Superintendent of Excise, S Phyobemo Kikon recovered 660 pieces of yeast, 60 bottles of assorted IMFL at Mhainamtsi road, Jalukie. According to a press release issued by Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Dimapur, two accused were arrest along with the vehicle (Tata Sumo) and booked under the relevant section of NLTP Act 1989.
Consultative meet to discuss
discrimination against women
Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): In view of repeated discrimination of different forms, happening against women and girl children in Dimapur, a consultative meeting was held between Dimapur Women Cell and NGOs at Rendezvous Hall, SP office premises here. A press release appended by Naga Women Hoho Dimapur general secretary, Vimeno Angami and Inspector, Women Cell Dimapur, Rose Yanthan stated that the meeting was called to discuss the matter as a serious issue which needs to be addressed at the earliest with schools and colleges, GBs, colony/village chairmen, women leaders, student leaders, youth leaders, mass based organizations and other NGOs based in Dimapur. The meeting decided to have a larger meeting to create awareness in the month of March 2014. The meeting endorsed Naga Women Hoho Dimapur to deliberate on the venue and time in consultation with the Women Cell, which is to be published in the newspapers for information.
Kohima Hindi teachers’ union meeting
Kohima, February 10 (MExN): All the executive members of All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union, Kohima Unit are informed that executive meeting for the year 2014 will be held on February 15 at the Unit’s office in Bayavü at 10:00 am. Lower Chandmari residents informed
Kohima, February 10 (MExN): The Panchayat Lower Chandmari Colony (PLCC) has informed all the residents of Lower Chandmari to kindly bear the inconvenience caused by the ongoing construction of landslide area. In a press release, PLCC informed that the road leading to GMS via St. Joseph School will be closed for some time, while vehicles will be allowed to ply the one way road from T Junction as per timetable framed by the colony. Therefore, vehicle owners and pedestrians have been requested to co-operate with the colony till the completion of the work.

Kohima, February 10 (MExN): The Naga Shisha Hoho monthly prayer meeting will take place from February 28 to March 2 (10am and 5pm daily) at prayer centre Prüzie Kohima with the theme “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone,” (Jam. 2:17). Rev. Pukhrolhü Lohe, pastor, Yorüba Baptist Church and Rev. Neivotso Neikha, director, North-East Mission will be the speakers. Veshutso and Razoukhoyi Rhakho would be the leaders. Khuzama Christian Revival Church youth would be on the choir seat and T. Zesünyü National Centre would be the advance prayer group.
