Colleges in Dimapur informed
Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): All the colleges in Dimapur that have appointed campus ambassadors have been requested to send their campus ambassadors to the office of the deputy commissioner, Dimapur and report to Thavaseelan, IAS (P), on March 31 at 10:00 am for orientation programme. This was informed in a press release issued by Deputy Commissioner N Hushili Sema. 

Commissioning of EVMs
Kohima, March 30 (MExN): The Commissioning of EVMs/Preparation of EVMs (Candidates set) will be taken up on March 31 and April 1 from 9:00 AM onwards at DC's Conference Hall, Kohima. In this connection, the recognized political parties and contesting candidates have been requested to detail their representative to observe the preparation of EVMs process. If for unavoidable reason, the recognized political parties and candidates cannot detail representative, they have been requested to intimate the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima in written for not detailing the representatives. 

DAVP exhibition in Dimapur starts today
Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): The Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of I&B will hold an exhibition for voter awareness at the Convention Centre, Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur from March 31 to April 2. The exhibition will be inaugurated on March 31 at 1:00 pm. Therefore, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, N Hushili Sema has requested the public to come and witness the exhibition. 

DNSU emergency meeting today
Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has convened an emergency presidential council meeting on March 31 (Monday), 1:00 pm at Unity Hall, Naga Council Building. Therefore, the Union has requested all its constituent units, former office bearers and senior leaders of DNSU to attend the meeting positively without fail.

NAYO presidential council meet
Kohima, March 30 (MExN): The Northern Angami Youth Organization (NAYO), “having some important agendas in hand” has convened a presidential council meeting on April 2, 9:00 am at NAPO Building, Keziekie, Kohima. Stating this in a release, NAYO president Peter Rutsa and press secretary Rükravolie Rülho have requested all the concerned village youth presidents and general secretaries to attend the meeting positively with utmost concern.

NLA informs, ex- IB, IBM 
Kohima, March 30 (MExN): With the enhancement of Interim Body member’s pension, the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) secretariat today requested all the ex-IB members and ex-IBM family pensioners to collect revised pension form from the assembly secretariat during office hours. Ex-IBM members have been asked to submit six copies of latest passport size photographs (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) and three Xerox copies of identity card (attested by any gazette officer). The ex-IBM family pensioners have been asked to submit six copies of latest passport size photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm), three copies of identity card, three copies of life certificate, three copies of death certificate, three copies of no objection certificate (all documents attested by any gazette officer) and three copies of birth certificate for dependent/minor along with affidavit dully attested by class-I magistrate. 

State Level GHSSs & GHSs Tournament postponed 
KOHIMA, MARCH 30 (MExN): State Level GHSSs & GHSs Tournament earlier scheduled to be held from April 15 to 17 in Mon has been postponed to commence from April 23 to 25, 2014 due to unavoidable technical reasons. However, except for the deferment of date all other directives and instructions as circulated stands and as such all District Education Officers have been informed to update the latest turn of events. This was informed in a press release issued by Kesonyü Yhome, IAS, Principal Director, Directorate of School Education.

World Autism Awareness Day at Jo Foundation
Kohima, March 30 (MExN): The observation of World Autism Awareness Day and inauguration of multipurpose hall at JO Foundation inclusive play school, Agri Colony (Middle Medizie), Kohima will be held on April 2 at 10:00 AM. Nagaland governor, Dr. Ashwani Kumar will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Dr. Atha Vizol, state commissioner for disabilities will also speak on the occasion. Greetings will be delivered by N. Thong, retired director, economic and statistics, Kohima. Neikule Doulo, chairperson ENABLE Kohima will share “Journey with my autistic child.” Short speech will be delivered by Vipralhou Kesiezie, director, SCERT Nagaland. 

Upgradation of BPO Jakhama
Kohima, March 30 (MExN): The upgradation of Jakhama BPO to departmental sub post office will take place on March 31, 12:00 noon at Jakhama. It will be inaugurated by Som Kamei, director of postal services, Nagaland, Kohima. The function will be chaired by Vikehiel Khazo. K.I. Singh, Assistant Superintendent, post offices, Kohima Sub Division will deliver welcome address while Razuzakie Phinyo, IPO (PG) DO Kohima will brief on the functioning of PO Kohima.  Short speech will be delivered by Medose Richa, chairman Jakhama Village Council while vote of thanks will be proposed by Kevilekho Kirha.
