ACCC 4th Ghaspani – 1 A/C meeting
Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): Office of the ACCC 4th Ghaspani – 1 A/C has convened a meeting on April 3, 10:00 am at Congress Bhawan, Dimapur. ACCC office bearers, presidents and secretaries of all the nine units, Mahila president and secretary, AYC president and representatives to DCC, PCC and DMCC have been requested to attend the meeting.  

ZDSSATA meeting on April 4 
Zunheboto, April 1 (MExN): Zunheboto SSA Teachers' Association (ZDSSATA) has convened emergency general body meeting on April 4 at 1:00pm at SKK conference Hall, Zunheboto. All the SSA teachers appointed and posted under Zunheboto District have been  requested to attend the said meeting without fail. KLCSU mourns
Kohima, April 1 (MExN): The Kohima Law College Students’ Union (KLCSU) has mourned the sudden demise of Kamsangliba Phom, an alumnus of Kohima Law College (2009) batch on March 21 last. The KLCSU has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.  

16th Pfutsero independent party to support Rio 
Pfutsero, April 1 (MExN): Former Independent candidate of 16th Pfutsero Assembly Constituency Vivolie Kezo, and his supporters after thorough deliberation and consultation with the leaders and members of the party have unanimously resolved to extend its support to Neiphiu Rio, the DAN Consensus candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election slated on April 9. According to a press statement issued by Vivolie Kezo, the party finds Rio as the only appropriate and capable leader to represent the North Eastern states in general and Nagaland state in particular in the Central Legislature. The party however, clarified its stand that it would always remain as an Independent Party and will neither resign nor merge with NPF or any other political party(s) under any circumstances. The statement further wished Rio the very best in his pursuit.

Christian Prayer House Jalukie fellowship 
Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): Christian Prayer House Jalukie monthly spiritual fellowship will be held from April 4 to 6 with speakers Pastor Larovi, C.R.C. Medziphema, Aya, Chairman C.R.C. Kiwgwema and Evan, Achun, C.R.C. Nchangram. Rampaule Zeliang, Christian Church Dimapur and Haingiele , C.R.C. Dimapur will host the programme. 

State level GHSSs & GHSs tournamentpostponed in Mon
Kohima, April 1 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education has informed that the state level GHSSs and GHSs tournament scheduled to be held from April 15 to 17 in Mon has been postponed to April 23 to 25 due to "unavoidable technical reasons." However, except for the deferment of date, all other directives and instructions as circulated stands and as such all District Education Officers have been informed to update the latest turn of events. 

Assam Rifles apprehends arms dealers 
DIMAPUR, April 1 (MExN): Based on specific information about presence of cadres in a house at Golaghat road (Ghora Patti) here, 29 Assam Rifles carried out search in early hours of March 28 and apprehended one person and recovered illegal arms and ammunition. A press release informed that on questioning, the individual claimed to be SS Capt Hokheto G Zhimomi of NSCN (IM). He further revealed that he was working under the Dimapur town Command. One pistol alongwith magazine and seven live rounds of ammunition were recovered from the individual and he was handed over to West Police station Dimapur, it added.
