A press note from the Secretary of UT informed the rightful owner to claim the bike within seven days from the date of issue of this notice, with all necessary documents. LHP condemns April 2 robbery
PHEK, APRIL 3 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho Phek Town has condemned a highway robbery on April 2 between Chakabama and Dzu River by a group of four/five armed miscreants. According to a press note from the LHP, in spite of identifying themselves as church workers, their cash and mobile phones were looted. The victims of the robbery were carrying building materials for the construction of a Pastor’s residence at Phek headquarters. “It was also reported from reliable sources that few weeks back the same gang had looted the passengers of a bus and a bolero,” the Hoho informed. The Hoho has appealed to all concern to initiate steps to prevent the recurrence of these types of incidences and expressed hope that law enforcing agencies in that area would step up vigil for the safety of travelers.
Open logo forming competition
Kohima, April 3 (MExN): The Alumni Association of All Saints Higher Secondary School Peren informed all the past students of All Saints Higher Secondary School Peren, Nagaland that Open Logo Forming Competition for the Alumni Association have just started. Every Alumni and students from Class VIII onward of All Saints Higher Secondary School students have been invited to the competition. The students have been asked to coin their own motto in the form of computerized/hand drawn, well elucidated. The selected logo will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 3000. Science workshop at Thahekhu Village GHS held
Dimapur, April 3 (MExN): A one-day science workshop for Class VIII, IX and X on “How to Learn Science without Memorizing” was organised at Thahekhu Village Government High School Dimapur on March 31. The workshop was organised under the aegis of Dimapur Sumi Student’s Union (DSSU) in association with Indigenous Cultural Society and Jan Jati Vikas Samiti under ‘Right to Education’ and personality Development Programme. Renowned educationist from Maharashtra Er Sharad Godse, Vinayak Dixit and Er Achyut Sapre were the resource persons. A press release informed that about 180 students of secondary classes including teachers participated and were immensely benefitted through this workshop.
Nagaland veterinary council informs
Kohima, April 3 (MExN): Registered Veterinary Practitioners (RVP) under Nagaland State Veterinary Council (NSVC) whose names have been entered in the Indian Veterinary Practitioners Register (IVPR) upto 31.3. 2014 are required to verify the name and address in the revised draft Electoral Roll prepared under the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council (IVC) Act, 1984 and the IVC Rules, 1985 and make necessary correction or changes as per the prescribed Form- A,B, C & D. The revised draft electoral role is made available in the NSVC office notice board, Directorate of Veterinary & AH Kohima. The information can also be obtained on Veterinary Council of India (VCI) website www.vciresults.com under link “Draft Electoral Roll,” “Forms A to D” and “Important Dates for Finalization of the Roll.” The last date for receipt of claims/objections/changes of address etc. from the RVP in the prescribed formats to the registrar NSVC shall be April 8. This was stated in a release issued by Dr. L. Temsu Ao, Deputy Registrar, Nagaland State Veterinary Council.
