Zunheboto, April 11 (MExN): The monthly district planning & development board meeting scheduled to be held on April 8, 2014 has been postponed to April 15. Time and venue will remain the same. Deputy commissioner & vice chairman, DPDB Zunheboto has requested all the board members to note the change of date and attend the meeting positively.
Sumi Senior Citizen Forum lauds Lenten Agreement
Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): Sumi Senior Citizen Forum, Dimapur has expressed happiness to note the Lenten Agreement between the NSCN (IM), GPRN/NSCN and NNC/FGN under the initiative of FNR. The Forum in a press release issued by its president KL Achumi hoped that the Lenten Agreement “bear fruit and shared by the Nagas and recorded in the history of the Nagas.” It also lauded the FNR for “their tireless effort in facilitating the factions under one umbrella for the glory of the Nagas in the near future.” Further, it requested the signatories of the Lenten Agreement to honour and respect their commitment and extend full support to the FNR for its implementation.
Western Chakhesang Hoho condemns
Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) has expressed shock and outrage at the attempt to life on ACAUT Nagaland member Abe Mero on April 9 at Jail colony Kohima allegedly by NSCN (K) cadre. The Hoho while condemning such “uncivilized and cruel behavior” stated it should be condemned by one and all. The Hoho further urged the competent authority to award befitting punishment to the persons involved as per the law.
NIEOIA convenes meeting
Kohima, April 11 (MExN): All the inspectors/Eco. Investigators/ Extension officers of Industries and Commerce department have been informed that an emergency meeting has been convened on April 15 at DIC Kohima conference hall, 11:00 am. Further, president of Nagaland Industries EO and Inspector Association (NIEOIA) has requested all concerned to attend the meeting without fail.
NSSATA calls meeting
Kohima, April 11 (MExN): A general meeting of the All Nagaland SSA Teachers Association is scheduled to be held on April 16, at 11:00 am in APO Hall, Phoolbari, Kohima. A press note informed that the meeting will deliberate on issues “ailing the SSA family.” All SSA teachers of the districts have been urged to attend the meeting without fail.
FGN Sumi Region condoles
Zunheboto, April 11 (MExN): Sumi Region, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has expressed deep sorrow at the demise of Scato Swu, former Kedaghe of FGN on April 7 at Satakha. Hekhuvi Achumi, Kilonser Ministry of LOTA, FGN in a message described late Swu as a “true patriot” who tirelessly served the nation in different capacities holding the prestigious post of Kedaghe (President), sacrificing the prime of his life for the cause of Nagas. Following the exemplary foot step of “our” late leader, the condolence note said, “the FGN Sumi Region is growing from strength to strength, for which the region salute the unwavering quality of patriotism displayed by our late leader.” Extending condolences to the bereaved family, the Kilonser acknowledged that Swu's demise has created a big vacuum for the Nagas.
