Power cut in Dimapur today
Dimapur, April 25 (MExN): Executive Engineer, Dimapur Electrical Division, Er. Moameren has clarified that the date of shut down of power under SDO (E) No. I and SDO (E) No.III from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm should be read as April 26 and not as published in the local dailies on April 25.

Dimapur, April 25 (MExN): MIP-NSCN (IM) has informed everyone that the assignment previously held by Setotsi, Leacy, USR (United Sangtam Region) has been withdrawn by the regional authorities with immediate effect. Ighanumi Students’ Union condemns April 13 murder
ZUNHEBOTO, APRIL 25 (MExN): The Ighanumi Students’ Union has vehemently condemned the April 13 incident at Ghatashi where one Kaito Assumi of Mukalimi Village “ruthlessly murdered” Kuhovi Swu of Ighanumi Village.  A press release from the union’s president Lovito Swu and general secretary Qhevito Swu stated that the deceased bore bite marks and injuries at the back of the head. The union expressing dissatisfaction over the law enforcing agencies and district administration for “being indifferent to the incident and remaining oblivious even after a lapse of more than ten days after the incident,” lamented that “justice has been delayed hence denied.” The union urged the authority to look into the matter at the earliest by awarding befitting punishment to the accused and his sympathizers. The union further urged neighbouring villages not to be misled by hearsays but join hands in the fight for justice. 

Consultative meet of Chakhesang frontal organizations
Kohima, April 25 (MExN): A consultative meeting of the frontal organizations of the Chakhesang people will be held on April 30 at Mini Tourist Lodge, Pfutsero at 10:00 AM. All Chakhesang Cultural Organization (CCO) executive officials including advisory members and officials/ representatives from Chakhesang Cultural Research Institute, attire committee, CPO, CYF, CMA have been requested to attend the meeting without fail. The programme has already been officially dispatched to all concerned in this regard. Agendas for discussion include Chakhesang Cithici (Morung) at Kisama, CCRI building plot, CPO resolution on traditional culture, 2000 and on modification/misuses of Chakhesang traditional attires. This was stated in a release issued by CCO general secretary Dr. Zokho Venuh.

Officiating promotions of NCS officers
Kohima, April 25 (DIPR): The Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (Personnel ‘A’ Branch) in a notification has stated that in the interest of public service, the Government of Nagaland has order officiating promotion of the following NCS officers with effect from date of taking over charge: From Special Selection Grade to Super-Time Scale in the Pay Band PB-4 (37400-67000) with Grade Pay of Rs. 10000/-: Name of officer - L. Yantsowo Lotha; Present positing - Secretary, Soil & Water Conservation.  From Higher Selection Grade to Special Selection Grade in the Pay Band PB-4 (37400-67000) with Grade Pay of Rs. 9900/-: Name of officer – Alan Gonmei; Present positing – Director, DUDA. From Selection Grade to Higher Selection Grade in the Pay Band PB-4 (37400-67000) with Grade Pay of Rs. 8900/-: Name of officer – V. Maria Yanthan; Present positing – JRC, Guwahati.
