ACAUT Nagaland informs 
Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): All the chairmen and GBs of colonies and villages falling between Dillai Gate and Chumukedima have been requested to attend the ACAUT Nagaland consultative meeting to be held on May 2, 1:00 pm at Naga Council Unity Hall. A press release from ACAUT Nagaland Media Cell informed that the meeting will discuss unabated taxation and “One Government One Tax” as adopted by the Naga people on October 31, 2013. GPRN/NSCN appoints new UT chairman and vice chairman 
Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): The high authority of GPRN/NSCN has appointed Hojei Swu, Kilonser, as the new chairman of Union Territory (UT) and Vedeta Nienu, Deputy Kilonser, as the vice chairman with effect from April 16, 2014. Informing this in a statement, Kakheho Zhimomi, secretary UT, has informed all concerned to address all correspondence to the newly appointed officials at 9856545248 (Chairman) and 9612907549 (Vice-Chairman).  

TSUD meeting on May 3
Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has convened a joint meeting with all the tribal units (presidents and executives) and senior leaders on May 3, 10:30 am at the Tenyimi Union Office, located behind Tragopan Hotel here to discuss some serious issues for the welfare of the Tenyimi students in particular and the Tenyimi community in general. This was informed by TSUD president Jenpu Rongmei and its information & publicity secretary Chokho Robviina.  

ASTD condemns rape attempt
Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): In the wake of the “molestation and attempt to rape” of a woman allegedly by one Nazmul Haque at Unity village, 5th Mile, Dimapur on April 25, the Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has voiced out strong condemnation calling the act inhumane and savage. “Not only the innocents, but even the mothers with baby child are not safe within their four wall room from this free crawling creeps especially in Dimapur,” stated a press statement issued by ASTD president Supu Jamir and its assistant general secretary & media convenor Imtinochet. “It is high time that the government should take up stringent measures to curb this menace in our society.” It asserted that “over the confession of the crime committed, the perpetrator should be awarded exemplary punishment for one and all.” The union further warned against bailing the accused.    

NKVIB cautions ‘unscrupulous suppliers’
KOHIMA, APRIL 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board (NKVIB) has informed that some “unscrupulous suppliers” are issuing quotation for machineries to beneficiaries of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and charging commission without supplying the machineries and equipment. A notification from the NKVIB directed all genuine suppliers to maintain proper records of all transactions and relevant documents for delivery of machineries to the parties. It further urged all officers in charge at district offices of the implementing agencies to personally ensure that all transactions are genuine and that funds allocated for machineries and equipments are not misappropriated. The NKVIB cautioned that strict action will be taken against any beneficiary, official or vendor found indulging in such malpractice.

Chakhesang gazetted officers’ new team
Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The new office bearers of the Chakhesang Gazetted Officers’ Forum (CGOF) for the tenure 2014-16 will be headed by Vevo Sapu, director, art & culture as president. Other office bearers include: Vice President - Wezope Kenye, joint secretary (Land Resources); General Secretary - Rothihü Tetseo, commandant 10th (IR) Battalion Zhadima; Joint Secretary - Darhü Shupao, section officer, Nagaland Legislative Assembly; Publicity & Information Secretary - Martha R. Ritse, joint secretary (RD department); Statistical Secretary - Er. Reneilo Nuh, assistant director, directorate of new & renewable energy; and Treasurer – Vechiso Rhakho, deputy director, directorate of treasuries & accounts. Executive members: Mesetshülo K. Mero, commissioner and secretary (I&PR); Visielie Kezo, OSD (Finance department); Kewekha Mero, joint secretary (Art & Culture); and Dr. Vezokholü Losou, District TB Officer, Kohima. This was approved and accepted during the general session of CGOA held on April 26 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima.

DEO Dimapur informs
Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): District Education Officer, Dimapur has informed that stipend under Children Education Fund (CEF) will be issued from April 30 to May 20 during office hours. The selected candidates are required to collect their stipend along with necessary documents. 

Assam Rifles extends medical aid
Phek, April 29 (MExN): 46 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 5 Sector Assam Rifles organized a medical camp on April 27, 2014 at Ketsapumi Village (Ketsapao), Phek district.  According to a press release, a total of 252 persons were examined by Captain Arjun Joshi, RMO of 46 Assam Rifles and medicines were distributed thereafter. Keeping in view the good faith and relations with local population, such camps are organized regularly and will be continued in future, the note stated. 

CAWA new team 
Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The Chokri Area Wrestling Association (CAWA) office bearers for the tenure 2014-2016 are: President - Estsongoyi Medeo, General Secretary - K.Thosto Nyekha, Asst.Gen. Secretary - Vezhohu Rhakho, Finanace cum treasurer - Sekhosa Chuzho, Representatives to Chakhesang Wrestling Association - Zazhota Dawhuo, Vecusuyi Chuzho, Advisory Board members - Duhuta Vero, Vekriyi Chuzho. The CAWA 26th session will be held at Khulazu Bawe village.

NPF 8th Western Angami A/C condoles
Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The NPF 8th Western Angami A/C has expressed deepest sadness and sorrow over the sudden and untimely demise of Sebu Nipu, a veteran and former advisor of NPF 8th Western Angami A/C on April 28, 2014. In a condolence message, the party stated that in his death, it has lost a sincere and dedicated leader. Further, the party workers conveyed their prayer and support to the bereaved family members. The party workers prayed that God would grant the family strength and peace to withstand this hour of sadness.
