NPF President directs party units
KOHIMA, MAY 7 (MExN): President of the Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF), Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu has directed all frontal organizations/cells and all subordinate units of the party organisation to refrain from issuing any press statements “whether in favor or against any person, while the search is on for a new leader in the party's legislative wing.” The directive, issued by NPF Secretary General, KG Kenye, stated that as per the decision taken by the working committee on February 19, the party is “already initiating and undertaking the process for a smooth transition towards this end.” It urged all rank and file of the NPF to strictly comply with the directive so that the “progress being made” is not “disturbed.”

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN): CANSSEA Dimapur district has convened its executive meeting on May 9, 1:00 pm in the conference hall of Directorate of Geology and Mining Department, Dimapur. Velasa Nakro, registrar of Cooperative Societies will be the chief guest and Wepe Ritse, Joint Registrar Cooperative Societies will deliver exhortation. PDCSU president Kekhwengulo Lea in a press release has requested all registered cooperative societies under Phek district to attend the session compulsorily, “failing which shall be considered as non-functioning cooperative society.”

Kohima, May 7 (MExN): The Sub Divisional Education Officer, Chozuba and his staff have expressed shock over the death of Deo Dukru, former Deputy Inspector of Schools, Chozuba in an accident in Assam on May 3. In a message, they shared grief with the beareaved family.
