AR apprehends NSCN (IM) cadre
Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): Troops of 9 Assam Rifles and 37 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 6 Sector AR launched a search operation at Lhoto Colony, Ganesh Nagar and recovered one .25 Pistol, one .22 Pump Action Rifle and assorted ammunition. According to a press release issued by the Assam Rifles, the operation was carried out based on specific information about presence of an NSCN (IM) cadre with illegal weapons in a house in the area. The owner of the house identified as K Kihovi Awomi (39) was apprehended who revealed that he is working as a Tatar in NSCN (IM), stated the note. The individual was handed over to Sub Urban Police Station, Dimapur, it added.
Felicitation prog for HSLC topper from govt school
Kohima, May 13 (DIPR): All the Kohima DPDB members have been informed that the monthly meeting cum felicitation programme of the 6th HSLC examination topper 2014 from Government School under Kohima district will be held on May 15 at 12:30 noon at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima. Principal Director, School Education, Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, will be the chief guest on the occasion. Therefore all the members have been requested to attend without fail.
Banuo Z. Jamir to release AND & DGDU constitution
Kohima, May 13 (DIPR): A programme for release of the Constitution of All Nagaland Directorate & District Government Driver’s Union (AND&DGDU) will be held in the Chief Secretary’s office chamber at Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on May 15 at 11 a.m. Chief Secretary, Banuo Z. Jamir, IAS, will be the chief guest while Legal Advisor AND&DGDU, Povotso Lohe will be the chairperson. Scripture reading and prayer will be rendered by Nagamese Fellowship Kohima, Pastor Ngupelo while welcome address will be delivered by President AND&DGDU, Neiviseituo Angami and vote of thanks will be given by AND&DGDU, Imtikumba.
NSCN (IM) offers condolences
Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): NSCN (IM) has expressed sadness at the death of Newlai Thingkhahra, former minister from Konupari sub-division, Longding district (Wancho Region), Arunachal Pradesh on May 7. “He was a respected man who had fervently supported the sacred cause of the Nagas. He will be missed dearly and will always be cherished in our fond memories,” stated a condolence note issued by MIP NSCN (IM). It further extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for their comfort and solace.
NNC/FGN to observe Naga Voluntary Plebiscite Day on May 16
Kohima, May 13 (MExN): NNC/FGN has informed all the “national workers and fellow countrymen” that the NNC/FGN will be observing the 64th Naga Voluntary Plebiscite Day on May 16, 10:00 am at Chedema Peace Camp, Angami Region. Joint Secretary, NNC Acüyi Vadeo in a press release has urged all the NNC/FGN workers and countrymen to participate in the function. “And also it is earnestly urged to those national workers and countrymen who are unable to participate in the said function to irrefutably observe this historic day of our nation in accordance with your conveniences or kindly pay even a short prayer too as a true Naga,” the note added.
DC Zbto informs presiding officers
Zunheboto, May 13 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner & ARO, Zunheboto, L. Akato Sema has informed all Presiding Officers under Zunheboto district who have performed election duty during the 16th Parliamentary Election 2014 to be present at the counting hall, Badminton Stadium Zunheboto on May 16 by 7:30 a.m. The DC also cautioned that failing to abide by the order shall be viewed adversely.

Peren, May 13 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer Peren has directed all the presiding officers deputed for election duty under 6 Tening A/C and 7 Peren A/C to be present at DC’s office compound on May 16 by 7:45 am till the counting process for Lok Sabha election result is over.
Government directs LPG dealers
Kohima, May 13 (DIPR): Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Nagaland, Kohima has informed all Deputy Commissioners in the district to ensure that LPG dealers do not hoard or resort to black marketing in view of the proposed strike called by the LPG Bulk Transporter from May 12 to 16. In connection to this, Mokokchung Administration has also directed Longkumer Gas Agency and Immanuel Gas Agency, Mokokchung to refrain from any form of hoarding or black marketing during strike so as to ensure that consumers are not affected.
