Kohima, July 26 (MExN): The Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) will be conducting a workshop on basic procedure of law, Lok Adalat, money lenders Act etc. with DBs and GBs on July 27 at 10:00 AM at DPDB Conference Hall Kohima. Kohima Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie will deliver a short speech. Nchumbemo Mozhui, Advocate Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench, Veswupoi Theyo Advocate Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench and Joshua Sheqi, Advocate Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench will make topic presentation.
DDK to broadcast penal

Kohima, July 26 (MExN): Doordarshan Kendra Kohima (DDK) will broadcast the penal discussion on Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) on July 27 at 6:00 pm. This was informed by DDK Head of Programme (HoP) HK Chishi, Programme Executive (PEX) through a release.
NNC & FGN joint meet
Kohima, July 26 (MExN): A joint meeting of the Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will be held on July 29, 10:00 am at Transit Peace Camp (TPC), Kohima, Nagaland. A press release from Thihü Khamo Secretary, FGN stated the meeting will discuss the ongoing situation in Nagaland and the urgent needs of the Nation. All the Central Authorities, Regional Authorities and eligible Naga Army officers are requested to positively attend the meeting.
Awareness prog on World Day
against Trafficking in Wokha
Wokha, July 26 (MExN): The District Administration in collaboration with Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) and Shaki-One Stop Centre Wokha will be organizing an awareness programme during the celebration of World Day against Trafficking under the theme “You Can Free Me” on July 30, 11:00 am at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Wokha. Advocate, Shanchobeni P Lotha, Project Assistant WDLSA will be the main speaker of the programme. As per DIPR report, Dr Wonchano E Enny, Women Welfare Officer, DLCW, Wokha has requested institutions of both private and government schools and colleges to nominate 30 students from class 10 onwards to attend the programme.
Longshithung Ezung appointed

Kohima, July 26 (MExN): The Department of Justice & Law in a notification informed that on the recommendation of Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Guwahati, the Government of Nagaland has appointed N Longshithung Ezung as Member Secretary, Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) with immediate effect.
PAC of NCD condemns murder
Dimapur, July 26 (MExN): The PAC (Public Action Committee) of Naga Council Dimapur has vehemently condemned the murder of a 22 year old woman whose dead body was recovered from a pond at Chümoukedima. PAC Media Cell in a press release appealed the concerned authority not to release the accused Sanjay Lodh under any circumstance and to leave no stone unturned to reveal the truth that transpired in the death of the young woman. Expressing shock on the “heinous crime boldly perpetrated on a simple Naga girl,” the PAC held that such acts cannot be tolerated, appealed to the authorities to award “severest punishment under law.”
BCoTE newcomers attend animation programme
Dimapur, July 26 (MExN): The Salesian Youth Ministry Team (SYMT) of Dimapur Province conducted an animation programme for the new comers of Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCoTE), Dimapur on July 25. A press release issued by Inalika, DBIDL Animator stated that Fr (Dr) Peter Salew SDB presented the Educational system of Don Bosco, highlighting its essential elements. Stephen dealt on “goal setting” and Victor, dealt on “traditional and modern constructive classrooms”.
“The resource persons effectively made use of the PowerPoint, audio-visuals, the ice breaker activities, action songs, party games and a great dose of humor in presenting their respective themes of animation,” it stated.
Vice Principal, Fr (Dr) Nicholas Guangdiat SDB, while introducing the resource persons said that the Educational System of Don Bosco known as the 'Preventive System' based on Reason-Religion-Kindness is practiced in 5 continents and in 132 nations across the world. A total of 70 students attended the programme.
L Khumo inaugurates roads in Tsg
Tuensang, July 26 (MExN): Advisor Fishery, Evaluation, Economic & Statistic, L Khumo Khiamniungan inaugurated the Pathso Nokeng to Zoahio Jong Road at Zoahio Jong on July 25. During his inaugural speech, Khumo said that the road will become an important life line for Shamator, Thonoknyu and Pathso Area. Extending gratitude to Pathso Nokeng Village for co-operation in the process of the road construction, he urged the public to co-operate with the PDA government under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Nagaland. On July 26, Khumo also inaugurated the road between Peshu to Jejeiking village and unveiled the plaque as chief guest. Cultural troupes from Peshu village performed cultural dance.
