AO of Sainik School
Peren, January 25 (MExN): Lt Cadre Thongminlal Khongsai has assumed the role of the new Administrative Officer (AO) of Sainik School Punglwa on January 3. The school organized a dining-in and a social evening of the Rainbow Club to formally welcome the naval officer on January 15 and 18 respectively. Lt Cdr T Khongsai was commissioned in the IN (Indian Navy) as an engineering officer. The officer holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh. Prior to the present appointment, he held various appointments onboard INS Teg, Mumbai and INS Exsila, Visakhapatnam. During the dining-in, Group Captain Prasun Basu, Principal of Sainik School welcomed the officer and various acts were performed by the staff and families.
NHAK governing body

Kohima, January 25 (MExN): Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) held its 10th Governing Body Meeting on January 22. The meet was held under the chairmanship of Pangyu Phom, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland in the presence of local MLA, Dr Neikiesalie Kire, Advisor, Urban and Municipal Affairs, Principal Director, H&FW, Nagaland and officials from Planning and H&FW department, Managing Director and Medical Superintendent, NHAK and NHAK officials. The meeting reviewed the Hospital Key Performances, improvement of Quality Healthcare Services, Status of NEC funded projects, Hospital equipments and manpower requirements and included site visitation of the upcoming Tertiary Care Cancer Centre at NHAK.
Dimapur Police arrests two
Dimapur, January 25 (MExN): Dimapur Police apprehended two persons for extortion and possession of illegal drugs on separate incidents. As per a press release from Addl Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur, one Aketo Yeptho was arrested from Diezepe village area, Dimapur, while extorting money from sand laden trucks in the name of NSCN (IM) on January 23. The Police recovered a cash amount of Rs 3600 from his possession. In this connection, a case has been registered at Dimapur Sub-Urban Police Station. One Kiukhum Yimchunger was also arrested on January 22 from Ghorapatti area, Dimapur for illegally possessing one .22 pistol (country made) without valid documents. In this connection, a case has been registered at Dimapur East Police Station.
