State Govt reiterates ban on import of pigs

KOHIMA, JULY 6 (MExN): In view of the outbreak of 'African Swine Fever' in the neighbouring States and in continuation of the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services’ earlier notification; the Home Department has reiterated that there shall be ban on import of pigs from other States into Nagaland. All Deputy Commissioners/CP Dimapur/Superintendents of Police/Chief Veterinary Officers have been directed to ensure strict compliance of the order.

 

Departments asked to submit write-up for I-Day 2020 

Kohima, July 6 (MExN); Principal Secretary, Abhijit Sinha, IAS has requested all concerned departments to submit write-ups to be incorporated in the Chief Minister’s Speech on the occasion of Independence Day 2020. The Home Department will prepare the draft speech for the same based on the inputs of the write-up received from various departments of the State Government. The order directed all the concerned departments to submit the write-up through their concerned Administrative Heads of Departments and that the write-up to be written exactly in the way the departments would like to appear in the final speech. He also said that the write-up should be in brief narrative form and should carry important achievements of the departments and plans for the coming year. He further added that the write-up should be submitted along with CD (soft copy) latest by July 10.

 

NLA requests departments to submit Government Business

Kohima, July 6 (MExN): Commissioner & Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Dr PJ Anthony has requested the Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Parliamentary Affairs, to collect information relating to Government Business (Financial and Non-Financial) proposed to be transacted during the Sixth Session of the Thirteenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly. In this regard, he further requested all concerned departments to submit all their businesses in soft copies/digital formats (Pen Drives or CD/DVD) latest by July 18.

 

Transfer & posting of IAS/NCS officers

Kohima, July 6 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland on July 6 ordered transfer and posting of the following IAS/NCS officers with immediate effect:
•    V Maria Yanthan, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, IPR will hold additional charge of DUDA.
•    Sehjang Doungel, NCS, Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs will hold the charge of Parliamentary Affairs Department.

 

NSCN (IM) UT recovers two wheeler

DIMAPUR, JULY 6 (MExN): The NSCN (IM), UT today informed that it has recovered one two wheeler Bajaj Pulsar, 180 cc, chassis no – MD2A11CY4HRD01738, and engine number: DHYRHD88144. NASA mourns

Kohima, July 6 (MExN): The Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) has mourned the demise of Khrietsolie Whuorie, former president of NASA (2009-2012) and one of the pioneers of NASA. “He had contributed immensely towards the association,” said a press release from NASA President, Vinolie Medom and General Secretary, Ruokuohelie Mere. The association also prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul.
