New dedicated contact numbers for Longleng Police

LONGLENG, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The Superintendent of Police (SP), Longleng today notified the new dedicated mobile numbers for Longleng District Police personnel. A notice issued through the DIPR informed that the new contact numbers are: Sr SP (6009308171), Addl SP (6009308172), SDPO (6009308173), OC Longleng PS (6009308174), OC Yanglok PS (6009308175), OC Tamlu PS (6009308176), and OC Women’s PS (6009308177). The public have been requested to contact any of the above officers for any complaint, information or assistance required from the police.

Applications invited for India Biodiversity Awards 2023

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The Nagaland State Biodiversity Board has called for applications for the India Biodiversity Awards 2023. The India Biodiversity Award is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, National Biodiversity Authority and the United Nations Development Programme. It is an innovative mechanism to identify and recognise champions of biodiversity conservation in India. Nagaland bagged the prestigious Award in one or more categories in the year 2018 and 2021.  Nagaland State Biodiversity Board has called for applications for any interested individuals, organisations or Biodiversity Management Committees (BMC) for the India Biodiversity Awards 2023, under the following categories: Conservation & Sustainable Use of Biological Resources; Best Biodiversity Management Committee; Incentivizing Access & Benefit Sharing; and Best Peoples’ Biodiversity Register. DWO Peren informs

PEREN, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): District Welfare Officer for Peren, Asangla Jamir has informed that disbursement of IGNOAPS, IGNWPS, IGNDPS, NFBS, State Non-Plan Old Age Pension and financial assistance to blind and invalid persons will be done beginning October 26. The schedule of the distribution is as follows: Nsong Project: October 26 to 27; Athibung Project: October 28 to 29; Tening Project November 2 to 3; Peren Project: November 5 to 6; and Jaluke Project: November 8 to 10. In this regard, the DWO advised the concerned Anganwadi Workers and Helpers to collect the pension on behalf of the beneficiaries to avoid over-crowding and confusion. Entrusted Anganwadi workers should come in uniform during payment and in case of lost booklet or any related queries, one may approach the concerned officer personally, it was added. Further, it was informed that wearing of face masks will be mandatory inside the payment room.

ECI to organize essay competition

PUGHOBOTO, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The ADC & DEO Pughoboto, Thungchanbemo Tungoe has informed that the Election Commission of India will be organizing a national essay competition on election and democracy on the topic 'Legal Framework for Social Media Regulation during Election' or 'The ECI's Role in protecting and preserving Electoral Democracy'. The deadline for submission of entries is November 21 by 11:59 pm. Submissions can be made either in English or Hindi. Cash prizes will be available for each category.

NBSE notifies on HSLC, HSSLC exams 20221

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed Heads of Institutions to ensure that all students fill up the application forms for the ensuing HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2022 online through the NBSE portal nbsenl.edu.in. It further informed repeaters in HSLC & HSSLC Examinations who are intending to appear the ensuing HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2022 to contact their institutions/centers within October 30 for filling up the application forms and payment of examination fees according to their category.
The details for fill-up of the application form is made available in board’s portal nbsenl.edu.in under the heading ‘Instructions for Filling up of forms for HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2022’. Intending candidates of HSLC & HSSLC are advised to visit the portal for necessary action.

Samajik Adhikarita Shivir prog held in Tuensang

TUENSANG, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The Samajik Adhikarita Shivir distribution of Aids & Appliance to Divyanjans & Senior Citizens under ADIIP & RVY Scheme was held at Town Hall, Tuensang on October 22 with Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikantas as the special guest. The programme was sponsored by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Person with Disabilities (Divyangjans) and organized by the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India in collaboration with District Administration of Tuensang. The programme was conducted in the presence of the DC and Nungsang Lemba, President, Chang Khulei Setshang and Yimkhiung Tribal Council. The United Sangtam Likhum Pumji and Khiamniungan Union Tuensang Town and presidents of all ward unions were also present. The kit included artificial limbs, hearing and visual kits.
