
2 apprehended, illegal liquor worth over Rs 24 lakh seized
Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): Security forces in a joint operation with police apprehended two individuals with illegal liquor at general area Signal Basti, Dimapur on September 14.
According to a press release from the HQ IGAR (N), based on a specific input, the security forces in a joint operation with state police apprehended two individuals and recovered 410 cases of liquor worth approximately Rs 24.2 lakh and Rs 80,000 in cash at Signal Basti, Dimapur.
The apprehended individuals along with recovered items have been handed over to Sub-Urban Police Station Dimapur for further investigation, the release added.
Skill development training conducted at Longleng
Longleng, September 19 (MExN): The District administration (BBBP) & MSK Longleng conducted skill development training on modern basket and pickle making on September 18 at EAC Hq Sakshi Block, Longleng. The main target group of the training was school dropout girls and unemployed women, as per a DIPR report. A total of 30 women attended the training in which the trainers were Wanmei and Shamei . During the introductory programme, Ruokuosetuo EAC Sakshi block encouraged the participants to take such activity as an opportunity to enhance their skill for self reliance. Trongdiba Tongpi, SDO(C) Longleng encouraged the participants to be financially independent women. Head GB Sakshi appreciated the office for organizing such programmes in their Block.
Dak Adalat on September 24
Kohima, September 19 (MExN): The Dak Adalat for redressal of public grievance on postal matters is scheduled to be held on September 24 at 11:00 am in the Chamber of the Superintendent of Post Offices (SPO), Nagaland Kohima. “All complaints/grievances/suggestions, if any, related to postal services for discussion in the Dak Adalat may kindly be sent to the O/o The Superintendent of Post Offices Nagaland Division, Kohima:797001 or by email at sponagaland@gmail.com on or before 24.09.2021,” the SPO informed in a press release on September 19.
NDPP mourns
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 19 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has expressed sadness at the demise of Sipong Chang, Working President of the NDPP Noklak region on September 18. A press release from the NDPP said that late Sipong Chang was “a humble and sincere leader who dedicated the best of his years for the welfare of the people. His demise is a great loss for the party and the void created by him shall be difficult to fill.” The party meanwhile extended condolences to the bereaved family members.
