ARTC&S informs on data of PwD

Dimapur, May 26 (MExN): The Assam Rifles under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs, are planning to launch an outreach programme to assist specially abled and physically challenged people in acquisition of skills to enable them to become self-dependent and self-employed. A press release from the ARTC&S, Shoukovi stated that in order to draw out the frame work for programme execution, Assam Rifles Training Centre & School (ARTC&S), Shokhuvi requires the data of persons with disability in nearby villages of ARTC&S at Shokhuvi and Dimapur. The required data are name, age, sex, contact number, village, district, and type of disability, percentage of disability and education status. 

 

ASTD condemns 

Dimapur, May 26 (MExN):  The Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has condemned the illegal demand of tax allegedly made by the cadres of Naga National Political Group at M/S Progressive Motors, Dimapur. ASTD President, L Wati Jamir and Secretary, K Mar Lemtur in a condemnation note reaffirmed to stand with the principles of ‘One Government, One Tax’ resolved by the Naga public. It also extended its solidarity with CAKU, BAN, PAC, ACAUT and DVC in condemning the unwarranted demand of tax, and lauded the law enforcing agencies for the timely action initiated against the culprits.  

 

Mon lifts sealing of inter-
state borders with Assam

Mon, May 26 (MExN): In supersession of the order issued by the office of Deputy Commissioner, Mon on May 21, sealing of inter-state borders of Mon District with Assam lifted with immediate effect. The DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS notified that “the inter-state movement of people and vehicles will be regulated according to the guidelines notified by the Government.”

 

May 27 lockdown lifted 
The DC Mon has also notified that the total lockdown which has been enforced in Mon Sub-Division on May 27 and in view of the cancellation of the arrival of the stranded persons from different parts of the country to Mon District, the enforcement is lifted with immediate effect. “The revised date for enforcement of total lockdown will be notified as and when there is a confirmation of the dates on which returnees will be sent to Mon from Dimapur,” the DC Mon stated.
