EE PHED Kohima informs on water supply 

Kohima, July 2 (MExN): PHED Kohima Urban Division, Executive Engineer Subongyanger has informed that the PHED Water Supply to Kohima town from Jotsoma Source (200mm CI) and Phesama Source (80mm GI) has been damaged by the ongoing construction works near Box Cutting, above Mezhur Higher Secondary School and the restoration works will take some time. The EE PHED has stated that the department will do its best to restore the water supply line to Kohima Town in the shortest possible time frame and requested all the affected consumers and the public to extend their cooperation and bear the inconvenience till the line is restored.

NNC GDRN (N/A) cautions 

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): The Collective Leadership of NNC GDRN (N/A) on Saturday cautioned against ‘some people impersonating as member of NNC GDRN (N/A) Chang Region and damaging the name of the Government.’ The NNC GDRN (N/A) through its MIP therefore cautioned all the DHODs and business communities/associations under Tuensang district and Chang Region not to entertain any such person (s) other than the authorised person of the Chang Region Chairman. It also directed all the cadres of both army and civil wings of Chang Region to co-operate with the acting/caretaker, chairman of Chang region, Bomba Chang (Deputy Kilonser). 

NSCN (IM) mourn demise of Horngam Jajo

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Lance Corporal Horngam Jajo, Naga Army from Kumram village under Wung Tangkhul Region on June 29 last. He enrolled in the Naga national service on the July 8, 2011. ‘In recognition of his service to the Naga nation, Lance Corporal Horngam Jajo was bestowed the rank of Corporal posthumously by the Adjutant General of the Naga Army,’ the NSCN (IM) stated in a condolence message. It stated that NSCN is proud of the service rendered by him. “The void created by his demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in. For his selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and his sacrifice for the Naga nation shall be cherished by all at all time,” it added in the condolence note to the bereaved family.
