Longleng DWSMC holds meeting 

Longleng, November 11 (MExN): The District Water and Sanitation Mission Committee (DWSMC) meeting was convened at the officer chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng on November 10 under the Chairmanship of DC Longleng, Dharam Raj, IAS. According to a DIPR report, the DC Longleng highlighted the importance of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). He urged the Rural Development Department, PHED and Water Resources Department to submit the detailed reports along with cost breakup of the convergence projects under the JJM within a week. The DC Longleng suggested for field visits to verify the completed projects from November 21 onwards. He directed the PHE department to prepare time schedule for the field visits in the district and asked the RD and PHE department to accompany the district administration.

Painting competition on energy conservation 

Kohima, November 11 (MExN): A state-level painting competition on energy conservation will be conducted at De Oriental Grand, Kohima on November 14. Registration of students will start at 8:30 am and the painting competition will commence at 10:00 am. The second session will start at 2:30 pm. The competition is being organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, GoI with North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd as the state nodal agency and Doyang Hydro Power Station, NEEPCO Ltd. as the host.

Training on Natural Teas at Longleng 

Longleng, November 11 (MExN): The Department of Land Resources, Longleng organised training on Natural Teas, at VDB hall, Longleng on November 10. DPO, Land Resources Longleng, K Kughalu Chishi stated that the main objective of the training is to promote the habit of drinking natural teas and knowing the health benefits from natural herbs, a DIPR report stated. Y Angngoi Buchem, briefed the trainees on the types, health benefit, method of preparation and value addition of locally available herbs and raw materials of natural teas. The training was followed by a practical session where resource person, S Phamphen Phom, Barista and Proprietor Coffee and Chill Longleng, demonstrated on how to prepare teas with various plants and herbs. The training was attended by SHGs and woman folks under Longleng district.
