The foundation stone for establishment of Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC) a ministry of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) was laid at Vidima Village under Chümoukedima district on June 18. A press release from Koinonia Media Ministry informed that the foundation stone was laid by Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder and Senior Pastor Koinonia Baptist Church. The land for the prayer centre was donated by Seitseilhou Virie and family and the project is undertaken by the Women Fellowship of Koinonia Baptist Church. H Rokopra Mekro, Pastor Koinonia Baptist Church led the service of the laying of foundation stone.
CANSSEA Tseminyu Unit celebrated its first anniversary on June 16 at GHSS, Tseminyu. Setting up of proper CANSSEA Office, Tseminyu and matters related to delay in salary payment, office expenditures were some of the issues raised and discussed in the form of suggestion. Earlier, the presidential address was delivered by Hechulo Semy, President CANSSEA Tseminyu Unit. The program was led by Jonah Semp, Vice President, CANSSEA Tseminyu Unit.The Assam Rifles organised Wreath Laying Ceremony at Unit War Memorial at Kohima to remember and honour Rifleman (General Duty) Jagat Singh who made “sacrifice on June 18, 1961 at Mon district, Nagaland in an ambush by militants.” A total of 6 Officers, 18 JCOs and 217 ORs paid their tributes to the gallant soldier who made the sacrifice battling against the “insurgents on the line of duty,” stated a release received here. On the occasion, Commandant conveyed gratefulness to the families of fallen heroes.
