CANSSEA Dimapur Unit meeting

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): The annual general meeting of Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), Dimapur Unit will be held on February 23 starting from 2:00 pm, in the conference hall, Directorate of Land Records & Survey Office, Dimapur. Therefore, all the head of government departments and offices within Dimapur have been requested to depute 2 members each to attend the meeting. The presidents and secretaries of affiliated associations under Dimapur have been invited to the meeting.

DVC, DYO condemn firing incident

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): The Darogapathar Village Council (DVC) and the Darogapathar Youth Organisation (DYO) have expressed shock over the indiscriminate firing incident in the vicinity of a business establishment within the jurisdiction of Darogapathar village on February 20. ‘Such barbaric act of threat and violence, which spared fear and disrupts the peaceful and harmonious coexistence within the village is highly condemnable and shall not be tolerated,’ stated a joint press release issued by DVC, DYO and Darogapathar Village Head GB. Further, it appealed to all to shun from any form of destructive, violent or illegal activities within the village jurisdiction. “Perpetuators who disrupt the peace shall be dealt with stern and appropriate action." It also entrusted DYO “to oversee and manage all such activities within the village jurisdiction” it added.  

KPC condoles

Kohima, February 21 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) has condoles the demise of Keku Zeliang, father of its member, Esuihangle N Liegise, who passed away on February 21. Zeliang was the first matriculate and first graduate among the Nsarangbe Clan of Benreu village. He was a founding member of Nagaland Olympic Association in 1984, and also served as the president of Nagaland Wrestling Association and Tenyimi People's Organisation respectively. “We convey our heartfelt sympathy to our member, Esui on losing her beloved father and we pray that God brings you and your family the much needed comfort and peace during this sad time,” KPC stated in a condolence message.

Passes for Fourth Session of 14th NLA

Kohima, February 21 (MExN): In view of the Fourth Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly to be held on February 26 to March 1, car passes and official gallery passes will be issued on February 23 and 24 during the regular Office hours from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. All ministers, advisors and AHODs may collect car passes and gallery passes from the Special Secretary (Home), Civil Secretariat, Kohima; All MLAs, PS/PA to the members can collect car passes from Reception Counter Gate No-II, NLA Secretariat; and all HODs, IPR and media persons can collect their car passes from Reception Counter, Gate No-I, NLA Secretariat.
