DPDB Wokha meeting on September 8
Wokha, September 5 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha, OrenthungLotha informed that the monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting will be held on September 8 at Conference Hall, Wokha at 1:00 pm. Therefore all members have been requested to note the change of date and attend the meeting positively.
Liquor destroyed in Mokokchung
Mokokchung, September 5 (MExN): A total of 280 cases of seized liquor (Mc Rum), 15 cases of Beer and 5 quarter of whiskies which were seized on different occasions were destroyed on September 5, at the premises of PI Court Mokokchung. The consignment was destroyed in presence of the destruction Committee headed by SDO(C) Mokokchung Chairman and the members including SDPO Mokokchung, APP Mokokchung, PI Mokokchung and DPRO Mokokchung.
Spelling Bee competition in Longleng
Longleng, September 5 (MExN): The District Task Force Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and MSK-DLCW Longleng will be conducting Spelling Bee competition in view of World International Literacy Day on September 8 at DC conference hall Longleng at 11:00 am. Therefore, the teachers in charge have been requested to nominate two girl students each from every institution to participate in the said competition.
Two arrested for snatching phones
Dimapur, September 5 (MExN): The Dimapur police apprehended two persons namely Khekato Zhimo (43 yrs) and Khekaho Murru (29 yrs), for forcibly snatching mobile handset(s) from a vehicle at 7th Mile, Chümoukedima on September 4. In this connection, Dimapur Police informed that a case has been registered at Chümoukedima Police Station.
All service to GTL withdrawn
Dimapur, September 5 (MExN): GTL vendors of Nagaland have informed the public that “GTL Company, a telecom infra company has not paid the bills of its vendors services provided to them from 2018 till date, even after so many reminders and requests.” Therefore, the vendors in a press release informed that all service to GTL is being withdrawn and some or all of the mobile towers of GTL may shutdown thereby affecting the mobile network services and availability in the state and for which the vendors cannot be held responsible.
