NSCN (IM) mourns

Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Lieutenant Colonel (Posthumous) Lanuwapang, of Hevuto Battallion, Naga Army. He was from Medemyim village under Ao Region. The MIP, NSCN/GPRN in a press note stated that he enrolled in the Naga Army on November 9, 1996 and subsequently served the Naga Army in various capacities till he breathed his last at CIHSR, Dimapur on August 1. ‘In recognition of the service rendered towards the Naga nation and who laid down his life while in the line of duty, the Longvibu, Naga Army, bestowed late Major Lanuwapang the rank of Lieutenant Colonel posthumously,’ the MIP stated.  The service rendered by him for the cause of the Naga nation shall be cherished and remembered for all time to come, it stated while adding “The Naga nation proudly salutes this great son of the soil. May the Lord rest his soul in eternal peace!”

Minority Morcha BJP informs

Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The National President, Minority Morcha BJP, Jamal Siddiqui will be arriving for a three-day visit to Nagaland on August 3. During the visit, he will meet BJP State leadership, party workers and community leaders. He will also address the State Executive Meeting of Minority Morcha at Lions Club Midland Dimapur from 10:00 am on August 4, stated a press release issued by Media Cell Incharge, Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland.
