NCP (SP) appoints Joseph  as Nagaland state president

Kohima, July 16 (MExN): The Nationalist Congress Party (SP) National president Sharadchandra Pawar (MP) in consultation with National working president Supriyatai Sule (MP) has appointed Joseph D. Naga as the president of state of Nagaland with immediate effect. This was communicated by Narendra Verma, National general secretary, incharge of media and informational technology and incharge of north east states.


DC Tuensang informs

Tuensang, July 15 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, A Zibenthung Kithan has informed that the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Tuensang will be carrying out registration drive for India Post Payment Bank and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSA) on July 18 and 19 at the DHEW Office (Opposite DC Conference Hall). Job fair in Dimapur on July 20
Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): The District Employment Exchange (Model Career Centre) Dimapur, Government of Nagaland in collaboration with the National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled-Dimapur, Ministry of Labour & Employment (DGE), Government of India, is set to organize a ‘Job Fair’ on July 20 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the District Employment Exchange Dimapur, near Zion Hospital Junction Purana Bazar, Dimapur.  As per a DIPR report, the purpose of organizing the job fair for the unemployed youth of the state aimed to recognizing the escalating unemployment rates in the state to have a positive impact on the lives of the youth in the region.
 

NLA calls for library committee meeting

Kohima, July 16 (MExN): Deputy Speaker, Toiho Yeptho, Nagaland Legislative Assembly who is also the Chairman of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Library Committee has fixed its first meeting for the tenure 2024-2025 on July 19 at 12:00 noon in the Assembly Committee Hall. All the concerned committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.

NBSE informs on Teachers’ Award
Kohima, July 16 (MExN): In continuation of this Office circular dated 3rd June 2024, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed that the Ministry of Education Department of School Education and Literacy has extended the date for accepting self-nomination for National Teachers’ Award 2024 till July 18. It has also been decided by the Ministry that those applicants who have partially filled up their self-nomination as on July 18, may submit their final submission of self-nomination by July 21. The National Teachers’ Award portal will be closed on July 21. In this regard, all DEOs/Sr SDEOs/SDEOs are requested to disseminate the information to the teachers under their jurisdiction.

Travel advisory on  Zhekiye-Satoi road
Zunheboto, July 16 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner Satakha, Zunheboto, MS Thangpong has issued a travel advisory on July 16 stating that in view of the ongoing work for widening and up-gradation of the Zhekiye-Satoi road and for facilitating the smooth implementation of work without interruptions, the portion of the road from Zhekiye village to Sukhai village will be closed for all vehicular movement, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with immediate effect, till further orders. Travellers have been advised to take the alternate Satakha-Xuivi-Sukhai route and vice versa.
