Awareness on substance abuse & HIV/STI today
Kohima, August 23 (MExN): An awareness and sensitization programme on “Substance abuse & HIV/STI” will take place on August 24 at 10:00 AM at New Market (Ser) Panchayat Hall, Kohima. The programme is organised by New Market Women Organization (NMWO) in collaboration with Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), Health & Family Welfare, Govt of Nagaland.
 

NGA mourns
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) has mourned the demise of Bharat Niroula, who died on the morning of August 23 in Kohima. Niroula was serving as the General Secretary of the Gorkha Panchayat in Wokha and had previously held the position of Joint Secretary in the NGA. A press release from the NGA said that Niroula was not only a devoted family man but also a dedicated social worker. His contributions to the Gorkha community were marked by his unwavering commitment and leadership, the NGA stated.


NLA informs on car passes
KOHIMA, AUGUST 23 (MExN): In view of the Fifth Session of the 14th  Nagaland Legislative Assembly to be held from August 27 to 29, Car Passes and Official Gallery Passes will be issued from August 22 till 24 during regular office hours i.e. 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All Ministers, Advisors and AHODs may collect Car Passes and Gallery Passes from the Special Secretary (Home), Civil Secretariat, Kohima, Nagaland. All MLAs, P.S/P.A to the Members are to collect Car Passes from the Reception Counter Gate No-II, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat. All HODs Persons are to collect their Car Passes from the Reception Counter, Gate No-I, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat. Gallery & Car Passes for IPR and Media personnel are already collected and are available at the News Room, Directorate of Information & Public Relations.


RBI to launch nationwide quiz for undergraduate students
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 23 (MExN): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the launch of a nationwide quiz, the RBI90 Quiz for college students enrolled in Bachelor’s degree courses only to commemorate 90 years of RBI’s functioning. The quiz is general knowledge based and will feature a multi-level competition, commencing with an online phase, followed by state and zonal level rounds and culminating in a national final. Prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd) will be awarded to the winning teams (two from each team) at the State Level (₹2 Lakh, ₹1.5 Lakh and ₹1 Lakh), Zonal Level (₹5 Lakh, ₹4 Lakh and ₹3 Lakh) and the National Level (₹10 Lakh, ₹8 Lakh and ₹6 Lakh). Workshop on painting, putty & baking
Kohima, August 23 (MExN): Tejo Society in collaboration with Nune’s Construction is organizing free workshop on painting, putty and baking on August 24 at 10 :00 AM at imagiLAND, Kisama. Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) project director Dr. Hovithal Sothu will grace the opening session. Siddhart, Berger Paint Company and Vipu Bakers will also be at the function. Nunese Sale will chair the function.
