DNSU informs on 3rd Union Assembly
Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) on Tuesday informed all its concerned members, constituent Unit Presidents, General Secretaries, and representatives that, the 3rd Union Assembly is scheduled to be held on September 19 at the DNSU office at 11:00 am. In this regard, the Assembly Affairs DNSU requested all the constituent units to send one representative for maintaining social distancing protocol. Tribunals and senior leaders of DNSU have also been requested to attend the Assembly. Further, the constituent units have been asked to submit the agendas, if any, to the Assembly Affairs DNSU on the day of the Assembly.
IMFL seized in Dimapur, one arrested
Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): The District Excise, Dimapur manning Chümoukedima check gate reportedly recovered 240 bottles of assorted IMFL after it intercepted a vehicle (Maruti Alto) Bearing registration number AS 02K 0183 on Tuesday. According to a report from the Superintendent of Excise and Prohibition, the consignment was meant for Kiphire. One person identified as Hetohe was arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the NLTP Act 1989 in this connection. Vigil has been intensified at the various gates for any illegal shipment of contraband, the report added.
NPYC to launch ‘Rozgar Do’
Kohima, September 15 (MExN): Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) informed all DYCs and AYCs presidents, office bearers and state executives that there will be a launching programme of “Rozgar Do” at Congress Bhavan Kohima on September 21 at 10:30 AM. The launching programme will be graced by Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas BV alongwith IYC secretaries and incharge of Nagaland Sarifa Rahman and Krishna Das. It is mandatory for all the office bearers of all youth Congress Committee to be part of the said programme, according to a release issued by NPYC general secretary (Admn) Serangmong K Sangtam.
Tourism activities halted in Khonoma
Kohima, September 15 (MExN): The Khonoma Youth Organization (KYO) on September 15 informed that all tourism activities under Khonoma jurisdiction will be halted until further notice. According to a press statement from the KYO, the decision is in view of the global pandemic and in support of the government’s decision and guidelines to maintain all SOPs. In this regard, all activities like picnics, trekking, sightseeing, loitering will be strictly prohibited under Khonoma jurisdiction. “Failure to abide by these guidelines will be penalized. These activities shall resume post COVID pandemic,” the release stated.
