Two NSCN (IM) cadres held 

MOKOKCHUNG, APRIL 16 (MExN): Security forces apprehended two active cadres of the NSCN (IM) at New Camp, Mokokchung District on April 14. A press release from the IGARN informed that the security forces recovered 2 weapons, live ammunition and a Maruti Alto vehicle. “The apprehended cadres alongwith recovered items have been handed over to Mokokchung Police Station - I, for further investigation,” it informed.

Poilwa Village Council mourns

DIMAPUR, APRIL 16 (MExN): The Poilwa Village Council has expressed sadness at the demise of late Tsathinpa L Sangtam, a student of semester IV, Civil Engineering Deptt., Government Polytechnic Kohima who loss his life at Duilum-roi River Poilwa Village, Peren district on April 15, while the students were having their annual picnic. A press release from the council informed that Poilwa Village has been visited everyday by many local tourists and on April 15 afternoon, they were informed that the young student leader while on their college annual picnic had gone to visit Kingam Ndau George in Duilum-roi River along with his friends. He slipped into the river and lost his life. “The Poilwa Village Council is sadden by the loss of our precious young student and we convey our deep condolence to bereaved family,” it added.
