
CEAN general conference 2023
Kohima, August 8 (MExN): The Civil Engineers' Association of Nagaland (CEAN) will be holding its 33rd general conference cum felicitation on August 12, 11 AM onwards at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima. In this respect, the Association extended invitation to all the registered/unregistered members across Nagaland to the conference. Registration for the year 2023-2024 will be done on the same day. Kezhokhoto Savi, advocate & social activist, Legal Advisor CTAN will be the guest speaker. Er Meshenlo Kath, Convenor CTAN and Er Imtisunep, SDO (PWD) will also exhort the gathering.
DC Chümou informs on 'Merei Maati Mera Desh' campaign
Chümoukedima, August 8 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Chümoukedima has solicited the active cooperation and mass participation of all the village councils and administrators of ULBs, head of departments and stakeholders under the district towards the success of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign. The campaign, scheduled from August 9-15, culminates the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav events. The DC further directed the respective Urban Local BodiesLBs and District Rural Development Agency officials apprise the people in the wards and villages regarding five key elements of the campaign to ensure better clarity of the programme.
Zeliang greets Yimkhiung on Metemneo
Kohima, August 8 (MExN): Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang has extended his greetings to all members of Yimkhiung tribe on the occasion of Metemneo festival. Zeliang said Metemneo is an important festival of Yimkhiung tribe and people of Nagaland as it mark the celebration of the harvest of new crops and thanksgiving occasion to the almighty God for bountiful harvest. He expressed hope that the festival will usher the Yimkhiung people into blessed year of love, unity and prosperity.
UNPG-NNC (PB) terminates Deputy Kilonser’s membership
Dimpaur, August 8 (MExN): The UNPG-NNC (PB) has informed that it terminated both the active and primary membership to the UNPG-NNC(PB) of the Deputy Kilonser Otoka Zhimomi of Ghukiye village on August 8. The termination was executed in consultation with the central cabinet after Zhimomi was found “guilty of misappropriation of funds and thereby over riding the Azah of the government,” informed a press release from the UNPG-NNC (PB). “The PMO further highlights well wishers and business establishments to desist from dealing with the said person,” it added.
