Kohima DPDB meeting on August 8
KOHIMA, AUGUST 5 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has informed that the monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for August will be held on August 8 at 11:00 AM in the DPDB Conference Hall, Kohima. All Board members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.
Mass social work in Chozuba on August 9
CHOZUBA, AUGUST 5 (MExN: In view of the upcoming 79th Independence Day, a mass social work has been scheduled for August 9 at 7:00 AM in Chozuba town under Phek district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Diana Patton has directed all government employees and residents of Chozuba to participate in the social work in their respective offices and wards. The Extra Assistant Commissioner will supervise the overall activity, while councillors and GBs have been instructed to ensure wide publicity and coordination.
Wokha district to hold preparatory meeting for Banana Festival 2025
WOKHA, AUGUST 5 (MExN): The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, has issued a circular informing that a meeting of the Agri and Allied Departments of Wokha District is scheduled to be convened on August 8 at 2 PM. The meeting will take place in the Office Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha.
The meeting will discuss and finalize preparatory arrangements for the upcoming Banana Festival, which is proposed to be held in October 2025. The festival is being organized under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative and in alignment with the Banana Vision Document of the district.
All concerned departments have been requested to attend the meeting positively and contribute to the planning process.
Social Welfare Dept invites scholarship applications for PwDs
KOHIMA, AUGUST 5 (MExN): The Department of Social Welfare has announced that online applications for the State Scholarship Scheme for Persons with Disabilities (Classes I to VIII) for the academic session 2025 will be open from August 7, 2025.
Eligible fresh and renewal applicants may apply through the Common Scholarship Portal of Nagaland at https://scholarship.nagaland.gov.in. The last date for submission is November 30, 2025.
