CMO Dimapur informs

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 7 (MExN): The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dimapur has informed that the medical board examination for service confirmation for government employees Grade III and Grade IV staff under Dimapur district is to be held on August 19 and November 18 at 10:00 am in the office of the CMO Dimapur. Any government servant who is not confirmed to the post and want to sit for the medical board should submit their names before the mentioned dates with forwarding letter signed by the head of the department. 

Nagaland Gov & Deputy CM extend Metemneo greetings

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 7 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, La Ganesan extended Metemneo greetings to the Yimkhiung community on August 7. A press release from the Governor stated “as we seek blessings from the above for a bountiful harvest and also to bless our work tools and implements, may the blessings of the festival for peace, prosperity and goodwill with our fellowmen be manifested in our lives.” Meanwhile, Nagaland Deputy CM, Y Patton also wished the Yimkhiung community on the occasion and said that “the festivals adds colour to the already vibrant culture, and as the people come together to celebrate, it reminds of the strong unity and brotherhood.” On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the Deputy CM conveyed festive greetings and hoped that it will bring forth peace and prosperity. 

KPC condoles

KOHIMA, AUGUST 7 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) has expressed sadness at the demise of Ayao Arthur, mother of KPC member Yirmiyan S Arthur Yhome, on August 2 at New Delhi following a brief illness. A press release from the KPC conveyed its sincere condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty will grant them solace at this time of grief.

Mkg DC lifts restrictions on 10-wheeler vehicle movement

MOKOKCHUNG, AUGUST 7 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung Thsuvisie Poji has announced the relaxation of restrictions on the movement of 10 wheeler vehicles. This relaxation applies to the stretch of NH 702D from Mariani to Dissolve/Tsurang bridge. The decision is attributed to the maintenance and pliability of the road under the Border Roads Organization (BRO), informed a notice issued through the DIPR.

Mkg DPDB meeting on August 11 

MOKOKCHUNG, AUGUST 7 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) in Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji has announced that the monthly DPDB meeting for August is set to take place on August 11 at 11:00 am. The meeting will be held in the DC's Conference Hall in Mokokchung. All DPDB members have been asked to attend the meeting.

‘Mmera Maati Mera Desh" campaign planned for Medziphema

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 7 (MExN): A meeting concerning the upcoming ‘Mera Maati Mera Desh’ campaign was conducted in the ADC Conference Hall at Medziphema on August 7. The meeting was presided over by EAC Vithawel Kweho. The chairman outlined the key points of the campaign, which include dedication of Shilaphalakams; Panch Pran Pledge and Selfie; Varudha Vandhan; Veeron Ka Vandhan; and flag hoisting and Rashtragaan. The chairman detailed the sequence of events for every location, involving flag hosting, memorial plaque unveiling, pledge-taking, felicitation of CAPF personnel and freedom fighters, and planting 75 saplings. The campaign aims to honor the ‘Martyred Bravehearts’ of the nation and is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of Independence. Various departments were assigned roles for the successful implementation of the campaign. The meeting was attended by Heads of Offices, Village Chairpersons and Ward Chairpersons.

Nagaland Govt reshuffles bureaucrats  

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has ordered the transfer and posting of several IAS & other officers with immediate effect. A notice from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms informed that Y Kikheto Sema, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, II&FW is transferred and posted as Commissioner & Secretary, EF&CC. Asenla Keitzar, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, EF&CC is transferred and posted as Commissioner & Secretary, P&AR. S Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary to Chief Minister and Works & Housing shall hold additional charge of Finance. V Kew, Commissioner & Secretary, Land Resources and Finance is transferred and posted as Commissioner & Secretary, School Education & SCERT. Kevileno Angami, Commissioner & Secretary, School Education & SCERT is transferred and posted as Commissioner & Secretary, H&FW. 

NLA Rules Committee meeting on Aug 11

KOHIMA, AUGUST 7 (MExN): NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer has convened the Rules Committee meeting on August 11 at 11:00 am in the committee room of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat. A press release from the NLA Secretariat informed all committee members to make it convenient to attend the meeting. 

NBSE reminder on exam exemptions for students with disabilities

KOHIMA, AUGUST 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has issued a reminder to Heads of Registered Institutions and students with disabilities who are scheduled to appear for the Class VIII and Class IX Examinations 2023 regarding submission of applications for required exemptions in the examinations, in accordance with the Rules related to Students with Disabilities. Applicants are required to submit their applications through their respective Head of Institutions. The applications should include the relevant Disability Certificate issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department. To facilitate this process, the applications can be sent via email to cwsnclass8@gmail.com for Class VIII and cwsnclass9@gmail.com for Class IX. All applications must be submitted on or before August 31. Any applications received after this date will not be accepted.
