Dy CM Patton condoles
Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has condoled the death of Rhonlanthung Patton, Chairman Thillong village and Mandal President BJP after brief illness at Dimapur on August 18. Patton described late Rhonlanthung as a sincere and hardworking individual who dedicated his life to social service. He was also a loyal party worker for many years. On behalf of the 37 Tyui Assembly Constituency BJP workers and on his own behalf, the Dy CM conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed to rest in peace.
NSCN (IM) mourns
Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of Lieutenant John Lomou, bearing Army No.43791/15, who was functioning as Office Supervisor (OS), Jacob Ramsan Battalion, Naga Army. He is from Chang Region. The MIP of NSCN (IM) in a press release stated that he enrolled in the Naga Army on August 30, 2015 and served the Naga Nation with dedication, sincerity and loyalty till he breathed his last on August 16, 2023, which is attributed to cardiac arrest. “NSCN, particularly the Naga Army stands in paying homage to the departed soul. The family and the Naga Nation have lost a great son and patriot. The precious service rendered by him for the cause of the Naga nation shall always be cherished,” it stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members. “The Naga Nation proudly salutes this great son of the soil. May the Lord rest his soul in peace,” it added.
One body recovered
Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): One unidentified non-local male (30-35 yrs approx) dead body was found lying dead at the roadside at Lhomithi colony, Dimapur. The Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur in a press release stated that on completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification.
