Dimapur Meitei Council informs
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 4 (MExN): The Dimapur Meitei Council has elected a new team of the Executive Council (Central Committee) for the term 2022-2024. A press release from the council informed that the new team will be led by President, Maibam Sanjit; Vice-President, Oken Ahongsangbam and General Secretary, Ningthoukhongjam Amarjit. It further informed that Haorangbam Bachao Singh and Sharatchandra Thingujam have been appointed as Advisors.
NFHRCC sitting on Aug 6
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 4 (MExN): The NFHRCC will have a sitting on August 6 at 3:00 PM at the committee base office, Kher Mahal, Dimapur. A press release from the NFHRCC informed all respective tribal committee members to bring an updated report on the ongoing motorable Foothills Road construction and renovation in their respective Sectors. It also invited the sector contractors including the Doyang Bridge Contractor Firm to attend the meeting positively.
NPF President mourns
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 4 (MExN): NPF President, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu has expressed sadness at the demise of late Yarangjang Imchen, Vice President of Mokokchung Division NPF on August 3. A press release from the NPF President said that Imchen was considered as “one of a staunch regional party leader of the Mokokchung division, who served under various capacities for the welfare and upliftment of the party.” He served as President of 23 Impur AC in the year 2003 and later inducted into Mokokchung Division in 2009. “His dedication and contribution for the party throughout all weather and his loyalty for the party will always be remembered. The loss through his demise is irreparable and the party will be difficult to fill the vacuum he had created,” Dr Shürhozelie stated. He further extended condolences to the bereaved family.
