KDDFA notifies on price hike of Fresh Milk

Kohima, December 27 (MExN): The Kohima District Dairy Farmers Association (KDDFA) on December 23 announced that the price of fresh milk will increase from 70 to 80 Rs per litre starting from January 1, 2026. A press update received here informed that the association, in its meeting, resolved to increase the rate of pure fresh milk to 80 Rs per litre from the existing rate of 70Rs per litre in and around Kohima “due to the escalating inputs costs of various essential items for livestock and milk production.”

 

Nagaland BJP ST Morcha visits patient

Kohima, December 27 (MExN): The Nagaland State BJP ST Morcha visited a needy patient at Naga Hospital Kohima on December 25. This is a goodwill visit during Christmas and also 101st birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Nagaland state BJP ST Morcha was led by its president Thomas Magh and general secretary Vekho Nakro. Cash was handed over to a needy patient.

 

NLA Speaker mourns passing of Biswa Bandhu Sen

Kohima, December 27 (MExN): Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker Sharingan Longkumer on Friday expressed deep sadness over the passing of Biswa Bandhu Sen, Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly. According to an update from the speaker, it informed that Sen was a seasoned parliamentarian and a devoted public leader who served the people of Tripura with integrity humility and unwavering commitment. At the same time, it stated that his long association with the Legislative Assembly, including his roles as Deputy Speaker, Speaker, and multiple terms as Member of Legislative Assembly from Dharmanagar stands as a testimony to his dedication to democratic values and public life. “His passing is an irreparable loss to the Tripura Legisiative Assembly, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association fraternity, and the people of Tripura,” it stated.

 

RCK mourns demise of founding member Semou

Kohima, December 27 (MExN): The Royal Cub Kohima on Saturday expressed shocked and grief at the sudden demise of one of its founding member Neisakholie Semou on December 25.  A press update received here described Semou as a cheerful, bright and soft spoken person with fair mindedness and positivity in the task assigned to him.  “He had played a supportive role in all the activities of the Club in whatever capacities entrusted to him, his demise is a great loss to the Club and the vacuum created will be difficult to fill,” it stated. In further informed that Late Neisakholie Semou had also served as a Treasurer and Deacon of Christian Revival Church, Naga Hospital Colony Kohima.  At the same time, the Club extended its condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prays for peace, solace and eternal rest to the departed soul.
