DIMAPUR, February 16 (MExN): The Nagaland Department of School Education has announced that application formats for the recognition, renewal of recognition, and upgradation of permitted private schools—both primary and upper primary—are now available on its official website. In a notification, the department stated that the application format for the recognition of permitted pre-schools has also been uploaded and will remain accessible until March 15. Schools seeking recognition or renewal can download the relevant forms from education.nagaland.gov.in and submit their applications within the stipulated deadline.
Traffic resumes over restored Tsutsung Bridge on NH-202
MOKOKCHUNG, FEBRUARY 16 (MExN): Vehicular movement over Tsutsung Bridge at KM 20.400 of National Highway 202 has been restored with immediate effect, the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, announced on February 14. The decision supersedes an earlier directive issued on February 10, and follows the completion of restoration work on the crumbling bridge.

The initiative marks the 10th anniversary of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme and is aimed at interested individuals, with a special focus on female school dropouts and single mothers. KBAN elects new council officers
CHUMUKEDIMA, FEBRUARY 16 (MExN): The Kuki Baptist Association Nagaland (KBAN) held its 72nd Annual Council at the Mission Centre in Khaibung, Chumukedima district, on February 14 to 15, where a new team of council officers for the 2025-2027 term was installed. The council discussed and approved a range of agendas during the two-day meeting. With the completion of the previous council's tenure (2022-2024), key leadership positions were filled for the new term. The newly elected officers include President Lampao Singson, Vice Presidents N. Dimngel and Chungminthang Singson, and Members-at-Large Seilun Singson and Paokhokam Singson.
NSCN/GPRN (Niki) discharges 2
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 16 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has discharged Akahito Zhimo, Leacy and Sukhai Yeptho, Leacy, both serving in Sumi Region, from active national service.
