Patkai Alumni Sunday on Feb 4

Chümoukedima, February 2 (MExN): Alumni Association Patkai Christian College (AAPCC) observes the first Sunday of February every year as Alumni Sunday. Keeping up with the tradition, the association will be conducting the morning worship service at Bunrock Chapel on February 5 at 9:30 am with Jongshimanen, Mission Director of Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) and an alumnus of the college as the main speaker. There will be special music by the MSSM choir besides other interesting items. AAPCC, therefore, invites all alumni to come and be a part of this wonderful program and be blessed.

DC Tseminyu informs

Tseminyu, February 2 (MExN): DC & Chairman DLSB Tseminyu, Rohit Singh IAS has notified all residents of Tseminyu town who had applied for Survey of Land and issue of Land-Patta that the survey will be conducted as per the schedule. Therefore, all the applicants have been informed to be physically present in their respective side as per the dates indicated as follows: Ward No. 4: February 6-10; Ward No. 5: February 12-14; Ward No.3: February 15-17; Ward No. 6: February 19; Ward No. 2: February 20-21; Ward No.1: February 22-23; and Ward No.8: February 24-29.

DDMA Kohima first quarterly meeting held

Kohima, February 1 (MExN): The first quarterly meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kohima was held at the DC’s conference hall, Kohima on February 1. Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Ramnikant IAS directed all the line departments to submit the updated list of equipments both usable and unusable by February 15. It was also decided in the meeting that according to the direction given by the SDMA the DDMA will verify and dispose off the materials.

Essay writing on ‘addressing road safety in Nagaland’

Kohima, February 2 (MExN): As part of the National Road Safety Month, 2024, Ministry of Road and Transport & Highways (MoRTH) and the Department of Motor Vehicles is organising a state level essay writing competition on the topic ‘addressing road safety in Nagaland.’ The competition is open for all age groups and the essays are to be submitted to nrsanagaland@gmail.com Last date of submission is February 7. Each entry should be: Not more than 2000 words and less than 1900 words; Only original essay will be considered for the competition; Submission must be in PDF format. Participants must include Name, address, e-mail id and contact number. The prizes for the competition are: 1st prize: Rs 10,000, 2nd prize: Rs 6000, 3rd prize Rs 3000 and consolation prize of Rs 1000 each for the 4th, 5th & 6th best entry. “The best two entries will be published in local dailies,” stated a DIPR report.

KPC bereaved

KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 2 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club has expressed sadness over the demise of Tovili Holo, mother of its member Shekali Holo, who passed away on February 2 at the age of 59. “Mrs Tovili Holo courageously fought her ailment with a strong faith after being diagnosed last year. She had been undergoing medical treatment at a hospital in New Delhi; and breathed her last on her way home today,” a condolence message from KPC read. “The Kohima Press Club family mourns her demise and extends our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. It is our prayer that your mother's loving memories will help you find peace and comfort. May her dear soul rest in peace,” the condolence message further stated.
