
Gov extend Tuluni greetings
DIMAPUR, JULY 7 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, La Ganesan extended warm Tuluni greetings to the Sumi community on the occasion of Tuluni festival.
Tuluni festival celebrates the season of abundance and plentiful. This mid-year (July) is the greatest and most fervent occasion for the Sumi community of Nagaland. During the festival, betrothed couples, families and friends exchange gifts and host feast. The festival is also a time for peace –making and reconciliation, a press communiqué from Raj Bhavan, Kohima stated. The Governor wished the Sumi community happiness and good health.
Mokokchung DPDB meet preponed to July 13
DIMAPUR, JULY 7 (MExN): In supersession of the meeting notification issued on July 6, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokcung, Thsuvisie Poji has informed all concerned District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) members that due to unavoidable circumstances, the DPDB meeting for the month of July is preponed to July 13 at 11 AM at DC's Conference Hall, Mokokcung.
All concerned members have been informed to take note of the rescheduled date and attend the meeting positively.
Tseminyu DPDB on July 13
DIMAPUR, JULY 7 (MExN): District Planning Officer & Member Secretary DPDB Tseminyu, Vilhouhunuo Sachu has informed all concerned members that the monthly DPDB meeting will be held on July 13 at 12 PM in the Community Hall of Tesophenyu Village, Tseminyu district. All the concerned DPDB members & officers of the district have been requested to note the changes and make it convenient to attend the meeting positively.
Awareness program on HIV & substance abuse held
DIMAPUR, JULY 7 (MExN): Modern Higher Secondary in collaboration with CDC, PATH, NSACS, Kripa Foundation organised an awareness and sensitization program on primary prevention from HIV & substance abuse on July 7 in the school auditorium.
According to a press release, the program was moderated by Weche-ü Thahu, HoD, Department of Commerce. Welcome speech was delivered by A Neina Theresa, Principal, Modern Higher Secondary. Khrievotsonuo Terhase, Counselor, took up the first session on Adolescence. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Lemnyei Konyak, altogether 340 students attended the program.
