
CSU convenes 1st Union Assembly
Kohima, July 11 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) has convened its first union assembly for the tenure 2022-24 on July 23 at Pfutseromi Community Hall, Pfutseromi village at 11:00 am. Every unit has been informed to send two representatives for the same. Agenda for discussion during the assembly be submitted in their respective unit's official letterheads, CSU union assembly stated.
Kohima DC notifies parking restrictions
Kohima, July 11 (MExN): Kohima Deputy Commissioner Shanavas C has informed that parking of vehicles along the stretch from Tin Patti Junction to BSF Camp from 8:00 am to 4:00 am would be restricted to allow the PWD (National Highway Division No-I) to carry out end-to-end carpeting of the road from Tin Patti Junction to BSF Camp. This was stated in a DIPR report on Monday.
Transport Department notifies
Kohima , July 11 (MExN): The Nagaland State Transport Department has notified the prohibition of movement of any transport vehicles beyond three-axle, including semi-tractor articulated trailers which is also three axle vehicle but whose carrying capacity is 30.5 tonnes or more, along the National Highway stretch from Dimapur to Kohima to Mao Gate from July 18 to August 11. Further, prohibition of upward journey of the above cited vehicles will not be permitted from Dimapur with effect from July 15 midnight. The Motor Vehicles Department in co-ordination with the concerned District Administration and the Police Department have been asked to enforce strict implementation and place appropriate traffic signs at suitable places.
Skill development training at Longkhim
Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): A Demand-Driven Skill Development Training for unemployed youth in the construction sector, organized by the Department of Employment, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship and District Skill Committee Tuensang with Zynorique Initiative Society as the empaneled training partner was held at DUDA Guest House Longkhim Town on July 9. Kulo Kezo, Assistant Director ESD & E congratulated the participants and urged them to make use of their knowledge and passion to get self-employed in construction sector, according to a DIPR report.
