Langshe has been appointed as Commander-in-Chief of the Naga Army. In a statement issued by Tatar member Lovito Yeptho, the organisation refuted claims made in a report, wherein TM Rhakho, quoting Articles 22 and 76 of the Yezhabo (Naga Constitution), questioned the legitimacy of recent decisions. The NNC/FGN has termed those claims as "false and baseless."
The statement clarified that the rank and file of the NNC/FGN continue to stand firmly with President Akavi Chishi. It further stated that, in accordance with provisions of the Yezhabo, the Tatar Hoho (NNC/FGN Parliament) held an emergency meeting and, after deliberation, unanimously impeached TM Rhakho from the presidency.
Regarding the termination of three Naga Army officers on June 12, 2025, the NNC/FGN said the action was carried out by Major General Langshe in line with Naga Army rules and regulations, and that it was done with the knowledge of then-General (Retd.) TM Rhakho, prior to his impeachment.
