Blasting of stone at Angetyongpang
MOKOKCHUNG, July 28 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji has informed all concerned that the JKM Infra Works, Guwahati Assam has been permitted to carry out blasting of stone at the construction site of two lane between DEF Church to Yisemyong at NH-61 (new NH- 02) Angetyongpang Tzu River area on July 30 between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The DC informed that the contractor shall ensure safety and security of the life and property of public using the road; the company should follow all the relevant rules of the explosives Act /Rules 2008; JKM Infra Works will be responsible for any damages of life and property.
Revision of interest rates on GPF/CPF/AISPF
DIMAPUR, July 28 (MExN): Tthe Governor of Nagaland has fixed the rates of interest accruing on GPF/CPF/AISPF (General Provident Fund, Contributory Provident Fund, and All India Services Provident Fund) for the period from July 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023 at 7.1%. A notice issued through the DIPR further said that in continuation of the Finance Department's previous notification dated December 5, 2022, it has been clarified that the ceiling of Rs. 5 lakh on GPF (General Provident Fund) subscription in a financial year applies to all employees of the State Government. All departments have been directed to strictly comply with this directive.
NSCN (IM) mourns
Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Ningshok Shinglai, Steering Committee Member after a prolonged illness on July 18. He hailed from Kasom Khullen, under Wung Tangkhul Region and joined the National service on April 9, 1991. “As we mourn his passing away, we are reminded of his resolute contributions over many decades to the resist for freedom. He has served the Naga nation with unwavering spirit until his demise. The footprints he has left on our Nation building will bear everlasting witness to posterity that a great man and a true Naga patriot walked this earth as a soldier of Christ,” stated KK Angami, Caretaker/Convener, Steering Committee in a press release. The NSCN (IM) has also offered prayers and deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
NSCN/GPRN (Akato) discharges one
Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Akato) had discharged Deputy Kilonser Bento Chophi on medical ground. “The NSCN acknowledges the voluntary service and contribution rendered by the discharged official towards the National cause. Whilst wishing a speedy recovery, the NSCN also augurs good tidings to our former comrade in his future endeavours,” MIP of NSCN/GPRN (Akato) stated in a press release.
CANSSEA Tseminyu Unit constituted
Tseminyu, July 28 (MExN): CANSSEA Tseminyu Unit has been constituted with the installation of Executive Committee for the tenure 2023-26. The first consultative meeting of the government service employees under Tseminyu district was held on June 16 at GHSS Tseminyu on the invitation by the CANSSEA head office for formation of the district unit, stated a press release. The meeting was chaired by Hechulo Semy, Vice Principal, GHHS Tseminyu.
